Has dropped back down to a mark he's capable of exploiting and went agonisingly close over C&D just under 3 weeks ago, shaping for all the world as though he'll benefit from being back over further. His turn looks near but likely to find one or two too good kept to this trip.
Hasn't won since his debut in December 2023 but produced his most solid effort for current connections when third of 11 at Southwell (14.1f) last month. Needs to build on that returned to turf but this represents a step up in class.
Left previous efforts this season behind when winning 5-runner handicap (20/1) at Pontefract (12f, soft) last month but not seen to best effect at Nottingham subsequently, a sedate gallop against him. Not without each-way claims with a decent pace more than likely.
Fairly useful hurdler/chaser for Dan Skelton but showed next to nothing on first outing for 9 months for his new yard at Newcastle (12.4f) recently (that was his first Flat start for almost 3 years). Can only be watched.
Progressive filly who has won both handicap starts convincingly, including 5-runner contest at Newcastle (12.4f) 3 weeks ago, going clear quickly before being eased in final 100 yards. Likely to progress further and although an 8 lb mark demands more, he's expected to pass this test.
Fair bumper winner and off the mark on the level in handicap at this course over 11.6f last month, making all and staying on well to draw clear from over 1f out. Effort at Ffos Las 4 days later easy to put a line through on account of the testing conditions, so he can get back on track.
Ran well on first outing since leaving Kevin Philippart De Foy when third at Doncaster last month and went a couple of places better in 6-runner event over C&D just under 3 weeks ago, knuckling down really determinedly having threatened to be swamped at one point. Considered from 3 lb higher.
Dual bumper winner who made a winning start in handicaps at Southwell (16.5f) in the summer. Seen to maximum effect when doubling his tally in 13-runner handicap at Chester (14.4f, heavy) last month and he's probably one to take on for win purposes from a 6 lb higher mark.

Forecasts
Contacto (9/4), Gnomon (18/5), Coedana (4/1), High Point (6/1), Imperial Sovereign (6/1), Dino Bellagio (9/1), In The Breeze (16/1), Skycutter (125/1)
Preference is for COEDANA, who is progressing at a rate of knots and can take this step up in class in her stride and make it 3-3 in handicaps at the expense of Contacto, who is firmly knocking at the door but probably wants to be back over further than this. Dino Bellagio, who was seen to maximum effect when scoring at Chester last month, rounds off the shortlist.
