80,000 gns yearling, Space Blues gelding. Half-brother to 2-y-o 1m winner Familiar, also won over hurdles. Dam, 1¼m winner who stayed 1½m, half-sister to very smart winner up to 9.5f Mufarrh. Pedigree offers some hope and worth a market check on debut.

Has shown ability but looks to be being brought along gradually, fourth of 11 in novice at Salisbury (8f, good to soft) on a second career start 14 days ago. Probably one for handicaps over further.

Kingman colt attracted support and showed plenty of ability on debut when fourth in a strong 7f maiden at Newmarket. Didn't seem to be striding out fluently late on when third in a Goodwood novice (1m) last time. Gelded subsequently and may get back on track in first-time headgear.

Starman colt made an encouraging start when runner-up in an historically strong maiden at Newmarket (7f, good) 12 days ago, rallied final furlong but unable to get past one with experience. Will improve from that experience and may well get off the mark at the second time of asking.

Saxon Warrior filly. Sister to useful 1m/8.6f winner Lan Cinnte and half-sister to 2-y-o 6f winner Spitting Feathers. Dam, 7f winner (including at 2 yrs), out of a Cheveley Park Stakes winner. Plenty of quality in her pedigree and interesting to see if there's any market support on debut.

Forecasts

We're Goosers (11/10), King's Trust (7/4), Extraterrestrial (11/2), James Choice (11/1), Amber Hamur (40/1)

Verdict

WE'RE GOOSERS shaped encouragingly when second in a Newmarket maiden that is typically worth noting and he's fancied to go one better here. King's Trust was fourth in a much stronger maiden on debut and could prove the main danger if bouncing back in first-time headgear following a gelding operation. Newcomer Amber Hamur makes appeal on paper and is one to note for support.
