Irish point winner who built on his promise in maiden/novice hurdles fitted with a first-time tongue strap when second of 11 on handicap debut over C&D last week. Open to further improvement and excellent chance of going one better here.
Fair maiden on the Flat who proved too headstrong in 4 hurdle starts for Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerriero last season. Will need to prove more tractable if he's do better as a hurdler.
Confirmed recent promise when ending a long losing run in 12-runner handicap hurdle at this course (19.8f, good to firm, 6/4) 8 days ago, well on top finish. Much respected under a 7-b penalty.
Returned from 7 months off better than ever, landing back-to-back Market Rasen handicaps in June. Shaped better than the bare result bidding for the hat-trick there 8 weeks later but found little at Kelso on most recent outing.
Had a prolific spell over hurdles/chases at this course around this time last year, winning 4 on the spin, but operating below his best recently, finishing only fourth of 6 in handicap chase at Southwell last week. Needs to raise his game.
Hasn't shown much in a handful of starts over hurdles, including on handicap/stable debut at Stratford in July. Latest effort on the Flat best overlooked but still hard to fancy.
Lost his way for Philip Kirby last season and little signs of a revival both starts for this yard, acknowledging he possibly still needed the run at Perth last time.
Runner-up 3 times on the bounce over hurdles in first half of 2024 for Shaun Lycett, but it's been all downhill since and could only consider if supported in the betting.
Better signs over hurdles last few starts, again running creditably when fourth in 9-runner handicap at Perth (16.2f) 13 days ago. Should remain competitive in first-time blinkers.
Poor maiden over hurdles but ran well when fourth of 14 at Newcastle last autumn, travelling smoothly. Below that level next 2 outings but not seen to best effect at Catterick on most recent Flat outing in August and unlikely to be lacking for fitness. Tongue strap on for 1st time in this sphere.
Fair maiden who fared little better than on reappearance when only sixth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Perth (16.2f, good to soft, 100/1) 13 days ago. First-time blinkers need to have a positive effect.

Captain Cool (5/4), Zamond (10/3), Clean Getaway (9/2), Clan Chieftain (7/1), Purple Gown (9/1), Belle Na Bann (16/1), Jeepydoff Meel (22/1), Ascension Day (22/1), Game Beaaa (33/1), Saviour (50/1), The Geordie Ginge (100/1), Susiesparkle (125/1)
CAPTAIN COOL showed improved form making a quick switch to handicaps when finding only one too good over C&D last week and surely has even more to offer after just 3 career starts, so he's an appealing candidate for an in-form yard. Zamond warrants plenty of respect under a 7-lb penalty, with Clan Chieftain pick of the remainder.
