Close second sole start in points and placed twice form 4 completed starts in this sphere. However, it's fair to say that she hasn't really progressed and a step forward is needed on this handicap/yard debut on the back of a low-key recent effort at Perth.

Returned to form when notching third career win back from a break here (20.7f, good to firm) in May. Wasn't disgraced off this 8 lb higher mark next time, but latest display at Newton Abbot (well behind when pulled 2 out) left much to be desired.
£30,000 purchase after getting off the mark at the second time of asking in Irish points last October. Signs of ability in a trio of mares' maiden hurdles and appeals as the type to do better now switched to handicap company.
Much improved for current yard, successful 5 times on Flat before winning on handicap hurdle debut at Southwell in June. Stamina stretched upped to 23f on latest start in this sphere and, having added to his tally back on the level 19 days ago, he's a big player over this more suitable trip.
Has stepped up on maiden/novice form upped to around 20.5f in handicaps the last twice, latterly finishing third of 8 back from a 7-month break at Plumpton. Will surely have a part to play granted a sound surface, which he should get.
Winless following 13 attempts between the flags and hasn't pulled up any trees in half-a-dozen appearances under Rules. Hopes now pinned on the first-time cheekpieces sparking improvement.
Runner-up in an Irish point, but yet to make an impact in this sphere and again looked far from straightforward in first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap at Wincanton when last seen in March. Connections now roll the dice with more severe headgear (visor replaces the cheekpieces/tongue strap).
Rounded off last season on a high, bagging a 2½m Uttoxeter handicap in May. Reappearance spin at Worcester will have blown away the cobwebs and, though his profile is rather up-and-down, he'll have a real chance if on a going day.

Forecasts
Jack Hoola (11/4), Carlton (10/3), On The Go (10/3), Kottayam (13/2), Rock On Tommy (17/2), Forcetoreckonwith (12/1), Charlie My Boy (14/1), Goodbyemick (28/1)
CARLTON is yet another example of the handiwork of the James Owen yard, winning seven and placed five times from 17 appearances overall (Flat and jumps) for the Newmarket handler, compared to just the one success following 23 runs for his previous stables. He is taken to enhance that tally here, for all that he locks horns with an intriguing handicap debutante in Forcetoreckonwith, who is feared most ahead of On The Go and Rock On Tommy.
