Promising type who has really upped his game over fences this year, latest when winning 11-runner Gr 3 chase at Galway (18.2f, good to soft, 7/1) 66 days ago, well on top finish. Further improvement may be on the cards.

Started his chase career with 3 wins and shaped pretty well until going amiss in Galway Grade 3 novice at the end of July. Let down by his jumping at Listowel since but can't be ruled out here.

Fairly useful chaser. C&D winner. 1 win from 3 runs this season. 20/1, creditable third of 15 in handicap at Listowel (14.2f, soft) 13 days ago. Switches from Flat to chase. Faces a stiff task here.

Surpassed hurdles form at first time of asking in this sphere when winning 7-runner novice chase (15/8) at Killarney (17f, good to soft) 43 days ago. This is tougher but he remains with potential.

Forecasts

Gold Dancer (4/9), Downmexicoway (3/1), Pied Piper (14/1), Dark Note (16/1), My Gaffer (18/1), Enjoy The Dream (20/1)

Verdict

DOWNMEXICOWAY looked a good prospect when making a successful chase debut at Killarney in August and likely has more to offer yet. He can score again. Dual-chase winner Gold Dancer is the obvious danger.
