Placed twice in handicaps earlier this year but recent form has been disappointing. Without a win in 18 races and never involved after being slowly into strid in the Stewards' Cup but this does at least represent a drop in class.
On a sharp upward curve since blinkers were applied, completing a four-timer at Goodwood at the start of this month, travelling smoothly and drawing clear in the final furlong. Looks a force to be reckoned with at present and he can defy 11 lb rise.
Remains below form this season, finishing seventh of 12 in listed race at Ayr (14/1) 8 days ago, blindfold removed late. Down in the weights but hard to enthuse about at present.
Maiden/novice winner first 2 starts and excellent second on handicap debut in June. Didn't get home over 7f at Ascot 3 weeks ago and he's quickly back in distance.
Won at Pontefract in July when making all but finished 11th of 13 in handicap at Doncaster (25/1) 13 days ago when ridden with more restraint.
Won this race a year ago and finished a close second back here with cheekpieces on in August. Third of 25 in Silver Cup at Ayr (16/1) 7 days ago, travelling well but met trouble before keeping on. This is very much his time of year.
Better known as an AW horse but equally effective on turf, winning the Great St Wilfrid over C&D last month. Below form when ninth of 12 in handicap at Kempton (AW) (22/1) 21 days ago, led early but weakened after taking strong hold. Could be more effective back at this track.
Ran above herself in listed company at Carlisle and more than confirmed that improvement when third of 11 in handicap at Thirsk (50/1) 21 days ago, travelled well and led over 1f out before being headed close home.
Won twice last autumn and excellent return to action when second at Hamilton in June. Shaped as though still in form when fifth of 18 in handicap at York (18/1) 91 days ago. Has shown best form with cut in the ground.
Won a 6f handicap at Thirsk (12/1) 87 days ago but finished well beaten (16th of 25) in the Bronze Cup at Ayr 8 days ago, acknowledging he raced in disadvantaged group.
Two of his 4 wins this season gained over C&D and he ran anther sound race when fifth in the Great St Wilfrid. Eighth of 25 in Bronze Cup at Ayr (22/1) 8 days ago just a respectable effort.
Has 6 C&D wins to his name. Produced a below-par effort finishing 17th of 25 in Bronze Cup at Ayr (66/1) 8 days ago and return to favourite track could spark a more prominent showing, for all he's 3 lb out of the weights.

ANOTHER BAAR has been thriving since blinkers were applied, completing a four-timer at Goodwood with ease. He looks a formidable opponent at present so this previous C&D winner can defy his new mark. Eye of Dubai returns to defend his crown in this race, having shown his well-being when third at Ayr despite trouble. Mister Sox is another course specialist who should be on the premises.
