Course winner as a juvenile for William Haggas and has proven consistent in handicaps this season, took a while top pick up but ran well on stable debut when third of 7 in handicap (11/2) at Beverley (8.4f, good) 19 days ago. Return of headgear a positive and looks worth another try over this trip.

Front-running C&D winner has proven remarkably consistent given his age, 3-time winner this season and shaped as if still in good form when fifth of 7 in handicap (12/1) at Ripon (8f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Can still be competitive but likely to face competition for the lead here.
Useful at his best for Joseph O'Brien but hasn't shown anything like that form for new connections. Well-backed but finished last (beaten just over 3 lengths) at Ayr (10f) last month. Back down in trip in a race with plenty of pace on paper and interesting to see if support comes again.
Dictated to win on stable debut at Musselburgh (9f) in April but has shaped as though in need of a step up in trip on recent starts, latest ninth of 11 in handicap at Thirsk (7f, good to soft, 11/1) 12 days ago. Could be more competitive over this trip.
Won twice in May/June and bounced back to form when second of 7 in handicap at Beverley (8.4f, good) 19 days ago, finding only a class-dropping rival too good. Has claims in a similar contest.
Won twice over this trip with ease in the ground last season prior to chasing home a useful sort at Yarmouth in October. Best forgiven comeback when doing too much too soon in an amateur jockeys' handicap at Ascot earlier this month and better expected here, particularly if some rain arrives.
Yet to finishing outside the placings for current connections, justifying support to land a second success of the season at Carlisle (9f, good, 7/4) 17 days ago, made all and responded well. That was a career-best and he should remain competitive off 3 lb higher.
Landed second C&D win of the season in June. Not disgraced in a better race than he need contest when sixth of 8 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, firm, 12/1) 35 days ago. That race has produced a few winners and he's one to consider returning to this track in a race that should be run to suit.
Both wins to date on testing ground, latest at Lingfield (7.6f) in June. Hasn't been in the same form since, latest fifth of 12 in handicap (40/1) at Ascot (7f, good to soft) 13 days ago. Remains to be seen if he can back on track in slightly calmer waters.

Dual winner TERRIES ROYALE chased home a useful sort on final start last season and is best forgiven his reappearance in an amateur jockeys' handicap earlier this month. He's taken to get back on track, with confidence even higher should rainfall arrive, while ultra-consistent Milteye posted a career-best to win at Carlisle last time and is feared most. With plenty of front-runners in the field, dual C&D winner Mount King could be the one to pick up the pieces if the pace is overly strong.
