(9)

Kind Touch²³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-11| J: O J Orr| T: R A Fahey

8/11

Promising sort. 14/1, came from further back than ideal to make a winning debut at Ripon (5f, good to firm) 23 days ago. Definitely more to come, particularly at 6f.

Form: 1

(5)

Fozzie¹¹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: K Stott| T: K A Ryan

3/1

40/1, seventh of 9 in maiden at York (7f, good to firm) on debut 11 days ago. Likely to improve and this looks an easier race.

Form: 7

(3)

Kwidsin⁴⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Harrison Shaw| T: Grant Tuer

80/1

Twice-raced maiden. Showed a bit when fifth on 7f Musselburgh debut but looked hard right (hung right) when well beaten at Ayr since.

Form: 59

(1)

Master Of Shanghai

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Ray Dawson| T: J & S Quinn

13/2

Foaled May 6. €130,000 breeze-up purchase. Hello Youmzain half-brother to several winners, including French 1m winner Djamba and French 6f winner Darinja. Likely type.

Form:

(4)

Pierre Le Picard³⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Lewis Edmunds| T: M Dods

33/1

More one for nurseries judged on his efforts over C&D and 7f at Thirsk last month.

Form: 87

(2)

Qila¹⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Ben Robinson| T: B Ellison

22/1

100/1, late progress for fifth of 13 on 5f Newcastle debut 10 days ago. This longer trip should suit him.

Form: 5

(6)

Rogue Rebellion^t²³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: D Nolan| T: D O'Meara

33/1

Last of 8 on Beverley debut but can be ignored after being brought to race alone against the stands' rail. Tongue tied, didn't look at home on the undulations of Ripon 5 weeks later and probably better than he's shown.

Form: 85

(8)

Starmade

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Cieren Fallon| T: E A L Dunlop

17/2

Foaled March 19. €110,000 breeze-up purchase by Starman. Dam, 2-y-o 5f winner, half-sister to smart 5f/6f winner Kingsgate Choice. Interesting newcomer.

Form:

(7)

Sea Her Excel⁵⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 8-13| J: Joey Haynes| T: I Furtado

40/1

80/1, showed ability when seventh of 12 in maiden at Windsor (6f, good to firm, 80/1) on debut 54 days ago, fading after pulling hard and hanging. Can do better if proving more tractable this time.

Form: 7

Forecasts

Kind Touch (8/11), Fozzie (3/1), Master Of Shanghai (13/2), Starmade (17/2), Qila (22/1), Pierre Le Picard (33/1), Rogue Rebellion (33/1), Sea Her Excel (40/1), Kwidsin (80/1)

KIND TOUCH created a good impression at Ripon and can make it 2-2. It could be that the main threat comes from newcomers, as Master of Shanghai and Starmade are both bred to go a bit and cost six figures at the breeze-ups.
