Victor Ludorum colt who made the perfect start when landing big-field Ascot novice (7f, firm) in July. Hasn't scaled same heights in Group contests at Goodwood/Deauville since but this switch to nurseries ought to see him in a much better light.

Palace Pier colt who was successful on debut in a Sandown novice (7f) in July and stepped forward under a penalty having gone from the front when third of 5 in novice at Newmarket (8f, good) 26 days ago. Likely he can progress further now handicapping and he's one for the shortlist.

Steady improver in recent months, coming out on the right side of a tight finish and digging deep to bag 3-runner nursery (1/3) at Leicester (7f, firm) 32 days ago. This tougher but he's yet to tackle this trip and no surprise to see another good showing from just 1 lb higher.

Progressive form in novice company, winning 2 of his 3 starts at 6f and he was noted putting in some good late work when creditable seventh of 18 in nursery at York (7f, good to firm) 21 days ago. Rates the type to progress further upped to 1m and Warren Fentiman takes off a very handy 5 lb.

Phoenix Of Spain colt who shaped similarly as on previous start when 2¼ lengths third of 10 to Mcmurray in maiden at Ffos Las (7.4f) 29 days ago, keeping on again having not quickened initially. Step up to 1m looks in his favour on that evidence and possible we've yet to see all he has to offer.

Mehmas colt who is progressing nicely, chasing home a subsequent Group-race winner prior to opening his account in 10-runner maiden at Ffos Las (7.4f, good) 29 days ago, going clear. Yard continue in very good form and he's one for the shortlist on nursery bow.

A mix of speed and stamina on breeding and having surpassed his debut form when fourth in a Ffos Las maiden (7.4f) in August, he couldn't replicate that when fifth of 9 in novice at Kempton (7f) 22 days ago. Steps up to 1m for handicap bow but others look to boast more compelling claims.

Kodi Bear colt who has improved nicely with each outing to date, as expected well suited by the increase in trip when taking 4-runner nursery at Kempton (8f, 7/4) 22 days ago, asserting final 100 yds. Feasible to think there could be more to come and he's not dismissed lightly.

Plenty arrive with chances but MCMURRAY continued his theme of race-by-race progress when off the mark at the third attempt at Ffos Las 4 weeks back and appealing as the type to go on improving for a while yet, he could be the answer on nursery bow for the in-form George Boughey yard. Charlie Appleby's Pacifica Pier laid down solid foundations in novice company and he's an obvious danger, with Royal Bodyguard and Daydreama another pair fancied to be in the shake-up.
