Genair Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race)

Went backwards from a headstrong hurdles debut when well beaten in a Southwell maiden last December. Seen to good effect winning on the Flat at Leicester in July but hasn't backed that up. Still has plenty to prove back over hurdles and he'll likely be better off in handicaps.

Fair Flat winner (stays 1m) and only ran respectably when finishing midfield in a 7f handicap at Doncaster last month. 7-y-o doesn't look the obvious type to make an impact first time up over hurdles but Gavin Sheehan takes the ride and he's worth a market check.

Fair dual winner on Flat (stays 11f) and was given a considerate introduction to hurdling following 3 months off when fourth in a Uttoxeter novice (15.8f) 43 days ago. Market should guide expectations given the yard do well so with this type in handicaps.

Fairly useful maiden handicapper on Flat (stays 1¼m) for Daniel & Claire Kubler and plenty to like about his hurdles debut when second behind an experienced winner at Cartmel (17.2f) last month, having travelled strongly. Should enjoy this sharp test and may well get off the mark in first-time hood.

Disappointing maiden on Flat (stays 1m), just modest form at best for current connections. Likely to be an outsider on hurdles debut.

Went the right way in bumpers for Gordon Elliott, finished second in a Down Royal bumper when last seen in May. Interesting to see what the market makes of him on hurdles bow.

Well held on sole Flat start last October. Difficult to make a case for on hurdles debut.

Made a winning bumper debut for Henry Daly in October and got back on track when a close second on hurdles debut at Worcester (16f) in June, the form having worked out well. Unable to build on that when third over the same C&D the following month but it's still very early days. One to consider.

Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 1¾m) for Owen Burrows, last seen finishing well held in a handicap at Chester in May. Has joined Jonjo & A.J. O'Neill and looks one of the more interesting newcomers in the field given his eye-catching middle-distance Flat pedigree.

Modest winner on Flat (stays 8.5f) but well below form at Doncaster last time. Likely to fall short on hurdles debut.

Fair dual winner on Flat (should stay 1¾m). Sold from Michael Bell for 14,000 gns in July and shaped better than bare result on stable debut at Ffos Las last time. Interesting to see if supported on hurdles debut for yard who know the time of day.

Passing Glance filly who produced a promising first effort behind an unbeaten Irish-raider when second in 10-runner Worcester bumper in July before disappointing over same C&D 3 weeks later. Needs to bounce back but she's in good hands for her hurdling debut.
