Back on-song of late, resuming winning ways in an 8-runner handicap at Ayr (1m, good to firm) last month. Remains on a workable mark up 3 lb and he's one to consider.
Has won 3 times over C&D, including the 2023 renewal of this race, and was awarded the race after going close in a valuable Doncaster handicap in March. Out of luck since but will be a threat off this mark if the change of scenery (debut for new yard) has the desired effect.
Progressive sort who landed the odds in 9-runner maiden at Lingfield (1m, AW) recently. Further improvement needed now returned to turf for this handicap debut, but that is certainly possible given his low-mileage.
Notched third success of the season at Beverley (7.4f, good) in July and has followed that with a couple of creditable efforts in defeat, including when third of 11 over this C&D on his penultimate start. One to consider.
Hasn't managed to add to 2-y-o Kempton debut success but, to his credit, he has posted several creditable efforts in defeat since, most notably when finding just one too strong over this C&D in May. Couldn't rule out.
Made a winning return at Newmarket in May but rather in-and-out since and while his latest effort over this C&D was creditable, there are others with more appealing claims.
Placed 3 times during the spring and opened his account at seventh attempt when landing an 8.4f Beverley maiden (good to firm) on final start for Charlie Johnston in June. Will need to raise his game now pitched into a handicap on first run for new yard.
Won maiden on debut at Haydock last year but hasn't built on that, finishing ninth of 13 in handicap at Southwell (20/1) 53 days ago when racing lazily off the pace. First-time visor may help sharpen him up.

Mezcala (9/4), Be Frank (9/2), A War Eagle (9/2), Tilted Kilt (8/1), Special Ghaiyyath (10/1), Surrey Shadow (10/1), Empirestateofmind (12/1), Mysteryofthesands (14/1), We Dare To Dream (16/1), Pearl Eye (18/1), One Eye Jack (22/1)
Judged on his latest second at Kempton A WAR EAGLE is still going the right way and a 2 lb nudge for that effort looks fair, particularly in light of the winner's subsequent display in a valuable handicap at the York Ebor meeting. He gets the nod ahead of fellow 3-y-os Mezcala and Tilted Kilt, while Mysteryofthesands could be the pick of the older brigade.
