Back-to-back third-place finishes in C&D handicaps, most recently in 8-runner contest 14 days ago, leading briefly but no extra late on. Needs to find more improvement to win from this mark.

Cranked it up a notch when opening account in 8-runner C&D handicap 14 days ago, leading 1f out after travelling well in a change of tactics. Still eligible for this grade and should go well again.
Runner-up in 7-runner handicap at Epsom (14/1) 34 days ago. Disappointing when last of 5 in higher grade back there 19 days ago (good to firm ground a potential excuse). Back on the AW trying 7f for the first time.
Struggled initially in handicaps this season with four consecutive unplaced efforts before finishing third of 12 at Kempton over 6f (10/1) 15 days ago. Needs to prove that improved form can be backed up returned to 7f.
Lightly-raced maiden. Bit below form seventh of 12 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, soft, 9/2) 2 days ago.
Best effort when fourth in a C&D novice in December. Last of 8 in a handicap over C&D (100/1) 14 days ago, slowly away and weakening late on first run for new yard.
First form when third of 8 in a C&D handicap in June and also better than the result when fifth of 10 in 8f handicap at Ffos Las (18/1) 21 days ago, making effort too early. Cheekpieces added to tongue tie.

Zolder (5/4), Mamma Maria (7/4), Silca Bay (7/2), Initial Blue (4/1), Nordic Games (9/1), Lexington Jet (10/1), Island Ocean (14/1), Duke Orsino (66/1)
MAMMA MARIA is progressing well, winning at Ffos Las after a lengthy absence before being demoted to second at Salisbury for hanging left. She looks well placed to gain compensation from the same mark back on the AW. Silca Bay benefited from a change of tactics when winning over C&D recently, while Island Ocean should be a factor from her modest mark.

- Island Ocean14/1
