C&D scorer recorded a career best when winning 9-runner handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f, 9/2) 23 days ago. Up 4 lb but form has been franked so he's not taken lightly.

Twelve runs since last win in 2024. Last of 5 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good, 16/1) 16 days ago. Visor on 1st time and handily weighted if it sparks a resurgence.

3/1 and blinkered for 1st time, career best when winning 8-runner handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good to firm) 36 days ago. That form has been well advertised so she's very much one to consider with headgear again sported.

Forecasts

Run With It (3/1), Great Dream (10/3), Al Rufaa (10/3), Beaming Light (17/2), A Major Payne (17/2), Golden Thorn (14/1), Quiet Resolve (14/1), Corundum (16/1), Crest Of Light (25/1), Eagle Day (28/1), Bold Suitor (66/1)

Verdict

Ralph Beckett's RUN WITH IT got back on the up when scoring at Wolverhampton recently and with the runner-up having gone in since, he can defy a 4 lb rise and bag a second C&D success. Golden Thorn showed the benefit of blinkers when getting off the mark at Windsor last time and heads the list of dangers, although the likes of Corundum, Eagle Day and A Major Payne also need considering in this competitive handicap.

  1. Run With It3/1
  2. Golden Thorn14/1
  3. Corundum16/1
