Harry Angel colt. Half-brother to winners abroad by Brazen Beau and Toronado. Doesn't appeal as a probable first-time-out winner on paper.

Starspangledbanner gelding. Brother to high-class 5f-9f winner California Spangle. Dam maiden (stayed 1¼m). Likely type on paper, but jockey bookings suggest that Diego El Queso is the stable No 1.

Forecasts

Diego El Queso (11/8), Playin Cool (7/2), Poweracclaim (9/2), Tina's Charm (5/1), Minaun View (8/1), Gran Habano (9/1), Men Of Honour (12/1), Take Me (14/1), Lavender Breeze (16/1), Starspangled Dream (40/1), Ciunas (40/1), Millraceflow (66/1), Cannonball Queen (66/1), Three Sixteen (100/1), Rodeo Star (100/1), Diva Time (100/1), Tokyo Treasure (125/1), Precious Pennies (125/1), Piatra Neamt (150/1)

Verdict

DIEGO EL QUESO showed plenty of promise in two starts during the spring and, provided he is ready to roll following a break, the son of Blue Point may well make it third time lucky here. Though still a maiden following a dozen attempts, Gran Habano looks dangerous and he is feared most ahead of Poweracclaim, while Lavender Breeze and Tina's Charm are others to consider.
