Successful 3 times at around this trip last season and he arrives here on the back of a good second of 9 in handicap at Windsor (10f, firm, 9/1) 16 days ago. Worth a look with his sights now lowered.
Showed benefit of his Ripon reappearance when bagging big-field York handicap (10.2f) in June. Not in quite the same form after 7 weeks off when fourth of 8 in handicap at Haydock (10.4f, good to firm) 20 days ago but he's certainly not discounted with his rider taking off a handy 5 lb.
Resurgent this season, successful over C&D prior to registering victories at Nottingham/York in June. Remained in form more recently and switch to front-running tactics seemed to backfire when last of 3 at Pontefract 13 days ago. Expected to bounce back.
C&D winner. Latest win at Chester in August. Creditable second of 8 in handicap at Ayr (10f, good, 5/2) 19 days ago, kept on and headed post. Mark has crept up another 2 lb ahead of this but respected as an in-form sort.
Back to winning ways from reduced mark at Ripon (9.7f) in May and following 2 solid placed efforts, he didn't need to improve to win 6-runner handicap at Ripon (9.8f, good, 5/4) 26 days ago by ½ length from Dawn of Liberation. This looks to demand more, however.
Siyouni gelding who remains a maiden after 6 starts but resumed progress away from ground firmer than good when second of 7 in handicap (11/4) at Sandown (10f, good) 23 days ago. That looks solid enough form for the grade and he's worthy of a second look.
Bagged a second C&D success of the season from a 4 lb lower mark in August and confirmed improvement displayed then when a creditable third of 7 in handicap back at this C&D (good to firm) 6 days ago, missing break but staying on well. Likely to find this more demanding, though.
7-y-o who is enjoying another productive campaign, resuming winning ways over C&D last month and showed himself as good as ever under a well-judged ride when following up at Kempton (11f) 11 days ago. Usual visor goes back on but this tougher outside of class 5 company.
Improved model from a low base for this stable, registering a third victory since May at Ripon (1m) at the beginning of the month. Needed no excuses from career-high mark when fourth of 5 in handicap at Pontefract (8f, good) 13 days ago and he now needs to pull out more. Back up in trip.

Forecasts
Crown Of Oaks (11/10), Time Tells All (5/2), Desert Shadow (3/1), Financer (9/2), Spioradalta (6/1), Glistening Nights (9/1), Titian (11/1), Distinction (20/1), Dawn Of Liberation (28/1), Precious Spartan (80/1)
Low-mileage CROWN OF OAKS looked one to keep firmly onside when seeing off another well-treated sort on his handicap debut at Ayr 4 weeks ago and, appealing as the type to go on improving, he can defy a 6 lb rise on his way to better things. Financer, following a good second in a higher grade at Windsor, and Desert Shadow may emerge as the lead dangers.
