Snapped a losing run in good style at Ffos Las (2m) in May and posted another solid effort when runner-up at Market Rasen (16.6f) on penultimate start. Possible the relatively quick turnaround caught him out when down the field at Uttoxeter next time and bounce back distinctly possible.

Veteran who bagged 3 victories during the first half of last season (including over C&D). Hadn't been shaping up at all badly prior to disappointing under a change of tactics here (22f) 33 days ago but his mark has eased a little more ahead of this at least.

Bumper winner who, having been re-united with Dan Skelton, gained a breakthrough victory over hurdles with cheekpieces refitted when easily landing 9-runner handicap at Stratford (18.7f) 5 weeks ago. 9 lb higher now but interesting if he can replicate that now starting out for new stable.

C&D chase scorer on this card 12 months ago. Form tailed off earlier this year but better signs on the back of another breathing operation of late, the quick turnaround probably not ideal when sixth in a C&D handicap 33 days ago. Worth a second look from this much-reduced mark.

C&D winner who finished well held on return from a lengthy absence at Bangor last month but much more encouraging signs with that under his belt when third of 12 in handicap hurdle at this C&D (heavy) 33 days ago. Could step up further on that now and he's respected.

Confirmed promise of previous run when winning an 11-runner handicap hurdle at Perth (20.2f) and shaped as if still in top form when runner-up back there later last month. Not disgraced back on the level at Catterick since and he could yet have more to offer in this sphere.

Struck over fences here in June and wasted no time getting back on track reverted to them when second back here last month. 2-day turnaround/heavy ground both plausible excuses when down the field in a C&D handicap hurdle last time and likely type to bounce back.

C&D winner on stable debut at this meeting 2 years ago. Very lightly raced since but proved ability remains when runner-up on return at Hexham (16.2f) in June. Found the test too much when fifth over 22f here 33 days ago but this drop back in trip a definite plus and better showing anticipated.

Long-standing maiden on Flat/over hurdles who has finished well in mares' novice/maiden contests on each of her last 2 starts. Hard to warm to back in handicap company.

Gained a second success on all-weather at Newcastle (10.2f) in March but has yet to offer much in this discipline, labouring 3 out when seventh of 10 in a C&D mares' novice back in May. Operating from out of the weights on handicap bow but worth noting if the market spoke in her favour.

Forecasts

Mr Rumbalicious (7/2), Restandbethankful (4/1), Zamond (5/1), Pittsburg (5/1), Top Flight Century (13/2), The Navigator (9/1), Victory Club (11/1), Gavin (12/1), Raincloud (40/1), Violeta (50/1)

Verdict

No shortage of interesting contenders in a wide-open handicap with a chance taken on MR RUMBALICIOUS. Runner-up on his return at Hexham in June, he didn't shape at all badly with a view to stepping back down in trip when finding the test too much over 22f here 33 days ago. He could well represent a spot of value. Restandbethankful, easy Stratford scorer Victory Club and Top Flight Century are just a trio of others to consider.
