Made a promising handicap debut when runner-up at Newmarket over 10f in May and belatedly built on that promise with a 13-length victory in maiden company at Lingfield (11.6f) 13 days ago, for all his 3 rivals all underperformed. Strong claims to follow up off the same mark back in a handicap.

Responded well to pressure in a switch of headgear when opening his account in 6-runner C&D handicap in June. Not in the same form taking on his elders for the first time when well beaten upped in grade over C&D last month, again looking less than straightforward. Isn't one for maximum faith.

Campaigned with handicaps in mind and duly made a winning handicap debut upped to 11.5f at Windsor (good to firm) in June. Wasn't seen to best effect in a steadily-run race Thirsk 20 days ago, though he was never travelling well. Remains to be seen if he can bounce back reunited with Sean Levey.

Forecasts
Venezuelan (4/9), Bondi (4/1), Atlantic Sunset (4/1)
VENEZUELAN appeals most having belatedly delivered on his earlier promise when routing the field in a 4-runner novice at Lingfield earlier this month. He can follow up that victory off an unchanged mark back in handicap company and while both his market rivals arrive with something to prove on the back of somewhat laboured displays, Bondi may well give him most to think about.
