Much improved for current connections, easily completing a hurdles hat-trick at this course in May. Shaped much better than the beaten distance suggests on chase debut at Perth last month and makes plenty of appeal in a less competitive affair.
Took advantage of reduced mark at Warwick in November and backed it up with a couple of solid efforts prior to finding his run of good form coming to a halt at Fakenham in December. Made a laboured reappearance at Newton Abbot last month but not ruled out if refitting of headgear does the trick.
Winner off this mark at Southwell in January and was keeping on for the places when falling at Worcester (23f) on reappearance in June. Appeared to be amiss on the back of that fall when pulled-up over the same C&D last month. Remains to be seen if he can bounce back (stable also saddle Jony Max).

Ended a long losing run in 4-runner Warwick handicap chase (25.4f) in May and quickly bounced back to form when landing a third career success at Uttoxeter (26.1f) last time, finding plenty for pressure. Should remain competitive but yet to win off a mark this high.
Won a couple of points in May and finally off the mark under Rules when scoring comfortably at Newton Abbot (25.8f) in July. Shaped as if still in good form when runner-up over the same C&D 29 days ago, for all that was a lowly contest. Should give her running again.
Failed to complete in points and had offered little under Rules prior to making much more of an impact following a break/breathing operation when third at Southwell in February. Unable to back that up when running no sort of race at Warwick 9 weeks later. Something to prove following another break.

Forecasts
My Girl Katie (11/8), Summerleaze (4/1), Eightytwo Team (5/1), Prince Cleni (15/2), Miami Jim (15/2), Jony Max (9/1)
Course winner SUMMERLEAZE was progressive over hurdles for current connections and shaped much better than the result on chase debut at Perth last month. This looks a good opportunity to get off the mark over fences, with Jony Max feared most if he can rediscover the form he showed last winter with headgear now refitted. My Girl Katie and Eightytwo Team have largely been in good form and should remain competitive.
