Long-standing maiden in Ireland and wasn't in particularly good form between the flags earlier this year. On the upside, he didn't shape badly starting out for this yard when third in an 8-runner Worcester handicap (23f, good to soft) last month and this return to a shorter trip will help.
Point winner during the spring, but record stands at 0-10 under Rules having finished a well-held third to Ribeye here last time.
Losing run countinues to mount, but it was a good effort last time at Uttoxeter (3¼m, good) where he found just one too good in a 10-runner handicap. Remains on a handy mark nudged up 2 lb for that and he should be in the mix, provided this drop back in trip doesn't count against him.
Has finished second on 4 of his 5 starts subsequent to his latest success at Worcester last September. Still, he's not the easiest to win with and while another prominent role could be on the cards, this 10-y-o remains vulnerable from a win point of view.
Runner-up on debut for this yard in an 18.6f handicap here in March, but he was left trailing by the winner and has failed to build on that in 3 subsequent appearances. Now tried in a tongue strap.
Fair 2m winner over hurdles who ran up to his recent best when good second of 5 in a 17.2f handicap chase here last month. However, he was rather laboured when only fourth at Cartmel next time and record over fences is now 0-11. First-time blinkers replace usual cheekpieces.
Winning pointer who showed his first form under Rules when third of 12 in a handicap hurdle at Stratford (2¾m, good to soft). 3 lb lower now pitched into a handicap chase for the first time (well held both previous starts over fences in hunter chases) and this 9-y-o is not completely discounted.
Poor chaser who is just 1-61 under Rules and, having been pulled up on 3 of his last 4 starts, another struggle is presumably on the cards.

Forecasts
St Patricks Bridge (3/1), Couldbeaweapon (7/2), Ribeye (4/1), I Am Rocco (11/2), Zoffalee (11/2), Hardy Buck (7/1), Caballo Diablo (15/2), Getthepot (17/2), Fast Deal (33/1)
ZOFFALEE is taken to bring the curtain down on a losing run stretching back to 2019 having shaped as though ready to capitalise on the handicapper's mercy when finding just one too good at Uttoxeter last month. He shades preference ahead of Ribeye, who has been in good form here of late and looks sure to be involved in the finish. If able to build on his latest improved effort, I Am Rocco could also have a part to play.
