Doubled career tally at Nottingham in May having won a C&D contest last summer. Sixth of 11 in a handicap at Doncaster (10/1) 15 days ago, typically taking a strong hold and not quickening late. Tends to race keenly but big player back at this track.

In good form this summer with three wins from last five starts including Catterick victories in June and July. Eighth of 10 in handicap at Catterick (5/1) 16 days ago, easing ground conditions perhaps against her.

Without a win in 22 runs, finishing sixth of 10 in 7f handicap at Beverley (6/1) 24 days ago on return from best part of a year ago. Very well handicapped if building on that effort.

Showed promise on AW at Newcastle earlier this year with a second and third-place finish. Back on turf and best effort for some time when landing 9-runner handicap at Redcar (5/1) over 1m 9 days ago, settling better and quickening to lead in the final furlong. Big player under a penalty.

Third in 6f handicap at Catterick in May but well held when eighth of 9 in 7f handicap at Doncaster (10/1) 20 days ago. Returns to C&D where previously successful and mark is a handy one.

Performed well in handicaps with a brace of placed efforts but big backward step at Lingfield 3 weeks ago, shaping as though amiss.

Hamilton winner on second start for this yard and gave another good account of himself when third of 7 in handicap at this C&D (10/3) 7 days ago. Repeat of that sees him in the mix.

Forecasts

Highland Olly (13/8), Carolus Magnus (5/1), Sandret (11/2), Patontheback (13/2), Superior Council (8/1), Coconut Bay (8/1), Tommy's Promise (10/1)

Verdict

HIGHLAND OLLY has previous C&D success to his name and should be well suited by returning to this track after racing keenly at Doncaster. He looks a value alternative to Sandret, who comes here on the back of a decisive victory at Redcar 9 days ago. Coconut Bay has already had a productive summer and drying ground is up her street.
