11/2, fourth of 7 in handicap at Pontefract (6f, good to soft) 12 days ago. Visor back on and she ought to be competitive with this return to class 6 company very much in her favour.
Veteran who got back to winning ways at Wolverhampton (6f) in April. Not in same form of late, sixth of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (5.6f, good to firm, 12/1) 20 days ago. Still, not taken lightly with this ease in class rating a plus.
6f winner on AW for Clive Cox last spring who posted best effort since joining present stable with a visor refitted when fifth of 11 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good) 15 days ago, noted doing good late work. Return to this 1f longer trip definitely in his favour and worth a second look.
Lightly-raced maiden. Below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, good, 33/1) 20 days ago, never better than midfield. Needs to step forward if he's to play a part but it remains early days at least.
Ardad gelding who fared better than previously when third on handicap debut at Musselburgh (5f) in May. Had excuses in subsequent outings, paying price for setting a sound gallop when last of 8 in handicap at this course (7f, firm) 40 days ago. Return to 6f can see him in a better light.
Maiden has failed to improve for the switch to handicaps/drop to sprinting, ninth of 10 in handicap (66/1) at Ripon (6f, soft) 11 days ago, folding from 2f out. Hard to fancy.
Remains a maiden after 23 Flat runs but came closer than ever to breaking her duck on first run since leaving Richard Hannon when very good third of 18 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good) 28 days ago. A repeat can see her in the mix again on the back of a 1 lb rise.
Lightly-raced maiden. 7/1, last of 16 in handicap at Ayr (6f, good to soft) 23 days ago, weakening from 2f out. Possible the easier ground was against him then and a repeat of his previous C&D fourth would give him a chance.
Eleven runs since last win in 2024. Last of 11 in handicap at Yarmouth (8f, good to firm, 22/1) 21 days ago, left behind 2f out. Return to sprinting won't inconvenience him but he's essentially looked better on AW than turf. Visor back on.
Remains a maiden following 13 starts but he does at least arrive on the back of a creditable fifth of 9 in handicap at Pontefract (6f, good to firm, 10/1) 30 days ago, weakening last ½f. Place claims possibly his best hope from widest draw here, though.
On a long losing run and he ran below form following 4 months off with a visor fitted (retained here) when sixth of 9 in handicap at Catterick (6f, good to soft, 40/1) 7 days ago. Others more persuasive.
Lightly-raced maiden who showed nothing when last of 7 on handicap debut at Ripon (1m, soft) 11 days ago. Back down in trip. Something to find on form.

Forecasts
Carlton And Co (9/4), Crocus Time (5/1), Brian The Snail (11/2), Brave Bob (11/2), Brazen Rascal (7/1), Match Anthem (7/1), Memphisatmidnight (22/1), Bern Rossetti (25/1), Crafty Spirit (25/1), Mews House (40/1), Passchendaele (40/1), Dorothy May (66/1)
Claims can be made for plenty here but the class-dropping CARLTON AND CO arrives operating 4 lb below the mark she defied over this trip at Leicester this time last year and could be the answer from a handy draw. Crafty Spirit displayed more positive signs with a view to stepping back up in trip at Beverley recently and is one to bear in mind. Brave Bob and Crocus Time are others worthy of a second look.
