Very smart miler for Chad Brown in United States, winning 3 Grade 1s, including a reappearance win at Keeneland in April. However, only sixth of 10 up against the Europeans in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot 6 weeks ago on first start for his Australia-based trainer.
Ascot specialist who ended his losing run when edging out Rosallion in the Queen Anne 6 weeks ago. Highly vulnerable at the top level away from that venue, however.
Smart performer who won 2 7f handicaps at this track last summer but this Juddmonte gelding is highly likely to be used as a pacemaker for Field of Gold.
High-class colt who was runner-up in 2000 Guineas last year before narrow wins in Irish 2000 Guineas and St James's Palace. Not seen again until third in the Lockinge in May and built on that when just denied by Docklands in Queen Anne at Royal Ascot. Looks the chief threat to the favourite.
Top-class colt who should have won the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket but made amends with easy victories in the Irish 2000 Guineas/St James's Palace Stakes, showing an excellent turn of foot both times. Should continue to prove very hard to beat.
Ended his 2-y-o campaign with success in Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar and added another win at the highest level when seen to best effect in French 2000 Guineas at Longchamp. However, proved no match for Field of Gold in St James's Palace at Royal Ascot 6 weeks ago.
Essentially remains with one standout effort (maiden winner at Dundalk in the autumn) and debatable whether he's good enough to be even used as a pacemaker.

Field Of Gold (1/3), Rosallion (11/2), Henri Matisse (11/2), Carl Spackler (28/1), Docklands (33/1), Qirat (150/1), Serengeti (300/1)
FIELD OF GOLD continues to emulate his sire in style as well as results and this outstanding colt of his generation can do so again by completing a Group 1 hat-trick taking on his elders for the first time. Last season's top 3-y-o miler Rosallion is a clear next best but even he could be made to look slow by the selection.
