Creditable third of 11 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good, 9/1) 14 days ago, not clear run. Now 1 lb below last winning mark and this 8-y-o should make a bold bid for a third C&D success. Yard also represented by Better.

C&D winner. Latest win here in June. 3/1, sixth of 9 in handicap at Catterick (5f, good) 13 days ago, hampered. In good form prior to that and it wouldn't be a surprise were she to bounce back and give a good account.
Didn't need to improve to win 8-runner minor event (9/4) at Nottingham (5f, good) 11 days ago by head from Better. Nudged up just 1 lb and it's not hard to envisage her playing another leading role.
Twelve runs since last win in 2024. Good sixth of 14 in handicap (12/1) at Newcastle (5f) 3 days ago, nearest finish. The ability is there, but he's not a particularly appealing betting proposition owing to his propensity to blow the start (hopes pinned on the first-time blinkers addressing that).
40/1, bit below form eleventh of 18 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good) 27 days ago, left poorly placed. Others make more appeal.
Latest win at Southwell in May. 9/1, creditable fourth of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (5f) 3 days ago. 0-10 on turf and he will probably find one or two too good once more.
25/1, ninth of 11 in minor event at Southwell (7.1f). Off 6 months. Down in trip and cheekpieces back on. Remains a maiden following 14 attempts and he again looks vulnerable.
Tenth of 15 in handicap (25/1) at Cork (5f, good) 70 days ago. First run for yard after leaving Kieran Patrick Cotter and it's not particularly hard to look elsewhere in search of the probable winner.
22/1, fourth of 6 in handicap at this course (8f, good to firm) 40 days ago. Significantly back down in trip and will need to find improvement from somewhere in order to open her account at the tenth attempt.

Forecasts
Canaria Queen (7/2), Mrs Bagerran (4/1), Latin Five (5/1), Better (11/2), Doralee (7/1), Sam's Xpress (8/1), Arlington (10/1), Ziva's Star (16/1), Upper Hand (33/1)
Dual C&D winner LATIN FIVE signalled that his turn is near when an unlucky third at Beverley a fortnight ago, putting in good late work after encountering traffic problems at a crucial stage. There are no firm guarantees that he will build on that given his up-and-down profile, but the risk is worth taking in a race of this nature. Canaria Queen has to be feared on the back of a recent success and Mrs Bagerran will also be a threat if able to shrug off a below-par run last time.
- Latin Five5/1
- Mrs Bagerran4/1
