Hover On The Wind^p¹⁸

Age: 5| Weight: 9-13| J: Barry McHugh| T: P T Midgley| OR: 74| CD

15/2

As good as ever with cheekpieces refitted when winning over C&D in May. Good second at Pontefract next time but not in same form last 2 starts, tenth of 16 in handicap at York (5f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Ease in class can see him in a better light.

Catch Cunningham^h¹¹

Age: 6| Weight: 9-10| J: Billy Garritty| T: M Herrington| OR: 71| BF| D

11/4

On a lengthy losing run but knocking firmly on the door in recent weeks, again finding only one too good in 8-runner handicap at Newmarket (5f) 11 days ago. Mark has edged back up as a result but return to class 5 company can help and he's one to consider.

Form: 265422

(7)

Brazilian Belle⁷

Age: 3| Weight: 9-10| J: Sean Kirrane| T: M Dods| OR: 75| D

9/4

Consistent filly who opened her account for the season at Thirsk (5f) in July and firmly backed that up when good second of 10 in handicap at Musselburgh (5f, good) 7 days ago. Expected to be in the thick of things again.

Form: 344212

(2)

Project Black⁹⁹

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Harrison Shaw| T: B Smart| OR: 70

33/1

Offered little following a 2-year layoff when last of 9 in handicap at Redcar (7f, good to firm, 33/1) in May (on debut for Geoff Oldroyd). Has rejoined former yard and this 5-y-o has a fair bit to prove.

Form: 31256/9

(8)

Two Shoes^v1⁵³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-7| J: O J Orr| T: Miss J A Camacho| OR: 72| D

11/1

Lightly-raced winner who was caught wider than ideal but managed to step up on her reappearance effort when sixth of 9 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good, 18/1) 53 days ago. Visor now reached for and she's not one to be writing off from very good stable.

Form: 194-06

(9)

Jojo Rabbit¹¹

Age: 7| Weight: 9-6| J: Joanna Mason| T: Mrs R Carr| OR: 67| D

12/1

Latest win at Ripon in June. 12/1, creditable second of 6 in handicap at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) 11 days ago, keeping on. Not ruled out for all consistency isn't his strong suit.

Form: 661692

Herakles¹³

Forecasts

Brazilian Belle (9/4), Catch Cunningham (11/4), Herakles (11/2), Opal Storm (6/1), Hover On The Wind (15/2), Two Shoes (11/1), Jojo Rabbit (12/1), Military Girl (25/1), Project Black (33/1)

CATCH CUNNINGHAM's losing run tempers enthusiasm to a degree but he lines up here on the back of solid runners-up efforts and could be worth siding with in the hope he gets the breaks. 3-y-o Brazilian Belle arrives in good heart herself and is another firmly in the picture. Herakles and Opal Storm can do battle for minor honours.
