Previous course and distance winner who has been running creditably in handicaps without winning since last July. Sixth of 12 in handicap at York (4/1) over 11.9f 44 days ago, taking a while to get going. Could go well in a change of headgear if they go a good gallop.
Placed twice in spring before two seventh-places and a fifth of 18 in the John Smith's Cup handicap at York (33/1) 16 days ago, giving his all despite poor record at that track. May do better in this less competitive contest.
Course winner who showed promise at Epsom, then finished fourth of 7 in a handicap at Doncaster (15/8) 24 days ago when having no room approaching the final furlong. Worth another chance.
Won 7-runner handicap at Haydock (5/2) 25 days ago, making progress 2f out and leading final 100 yards. Second to Glasses Up over C&D in May but now forced up in grade.
Showed promise on first two starts and held some lofty entries earlier in the season. Encountered quicker ground when third of 4 in maiden at Redcar in May. Gelded prior to handicap debut over this longer trip (related to 10f winners) and could be on a good mark based on earlier promise shown.
Won a seller at Musselburgh (9f) last October but eighth of 9 in C&D handicap (16/1) 14 days ago. Stamina unproven at this trip and faces tough task upped in grade.
Course specialist with 11 wins at Ayr but was sixth of 9 in handicap at this C&D (9/2) 14 days ago, second dull effort in a row. Needs to recapture earlier season form.
Lightly-raced sort has shown fair form in handicaps and was fourth of 15 in a handicap at Carlisle (17/2) 23 days ago, making progress from 2f out but never threatening the leaders. Worth trying 10f based on running style and remains one to be interested in.
Won a 9-runner handicap at this course and distance (7/1) 14 days ago, responding well and confirming this trip suits better than shorter. Improving and should remain competitive up in grade.

Forecasts
Crown Of Oaks (1/1), Hornsea Bay (10/3), Austrian Theory (5/1), Born Ruler (11/1), Jujubella (16/1), Sure And Stedfast (18/1), Tee Aitch Aye (25/1), Glasses Up (40/1), Bint Al Karama (125/1)
CROWN OF OAKS held some lofty entries earlier in the season and looks on a workable mark for his handicap debut. He can open his account on his first start since being gelded and is preferred to Tee Aitch Aye, who should appreciate the step up to 10f, and Hornsea Bay who had no luck in running last time. Austrian Theory was a winner the last time he contested Class 4 company, while Born Ruler returns to the scene of his last success in a change of headgear and could go well for his in-form yard.
- Tee Aitch Aye25/1
- Hornsea Bay10/3
