Shaped with no promise for new connections (on first run since leaving B. Gourdon) when 66/1, fell in handicap hurdle at Worcester (16f, good to firm) on UK NH debut 39 days ago. Up in trip with plenty to find.
Course winner bounced back from a poor effort on belated first try over longer trip when winning 6-runner handicap hurdle (4/1) at Bangor (23.2f, good) 23 days ago. Had the run of the race that day and has to contend with a drop back in trip here. More on his plate in bid to follow up.
Runner-up over hurdles on sole previous start at this course. Back to form on return to hurdles when second of 8 in novice at Fontwell (19.1f, good) 47 days ago, no match for upwardly mobile rival. Repeat performance puts him bang in the mix here.
Won a decent race for the grade at Newcastle (16.9f) when last seen over hurdles but below form on Flat and over fences subsequently. No surprise to see him get back on track returned to hurdles.
Strong form for a seller when runner-up at Cartmel in May. Disappointed on hurdles debut for current yard but ran a better race back on the Flat when second of 8 in a handicap at Redcar (16f) 7 days ago. Visored first time over hurdles and could make a bold bid if on a going day under Sean Bowen.
Latest win in hurdle at Perth in July but found out in better company returning to that track when 9/2, third of 5 in handicap hurdle (23.9f, good) 14 days ago, unable to sustain effort. Should remain competitive back down in grade.
Made a discouraging handicap hurdle debut after another 6 months off when last of 7 at Market Rasen (16.6f, good to firm, 25/1) 37 days ago. Up in trip with questions to answer now.
Lightly-raced sort has proved consistent in handicaps, again looked a thorough stayer when creditable third of 10 at Newton Abbot (26.5f) 33 days ago, needing stiffer test. Drop back in trip isn't guaranteed to suit and likely to find a few too good again (wears first time tongue strap).
Lost his way for Philip Kirby last season. Difficult to fancy unless market hints at a revival.
Last of 6 in handicap at Pontefract (12f, good to soft, 66/1) 9 days ago. Switches from Flat to hurdles but remains of no interest in either code at present.
Limited impact in maiden/novice company, latest when fifth of 7 in novice hurdle at Newton Abbot (21.6f, good, 33/1) 33 days ago. One to note for market confidence on handicap hurdle debut.
C&D winner but remains with no form for current connections and faces another uphill task from out of the handicap.
Maiden has a patchy record and is now upped in trip on first run for yard after leaving Paul Robson. Again out of the handicap and plenty to find on bare form.

Forecasts
Gold Link (5/2), Chillhi (11/4), Present Fair (6/1), Inoue (6/1), Jack's Jury (13/2), Jeepydoff Meel (11/1), Dalileo (12/1), Wild Nephin (22/1), Fenna's Loss (28/1), Beau Gold (28/1), Esteban (50/1), Dame Sarra (66/1), Leading Lion (100/1)
GOLD LINK has performed well at this course previously and may prove the most solid option having returned to form when runner-up behind an improving sort in a Fontwell novice hurdle last month. Chillhi is fitted with a visor for the first time over hurdles and could prove a big danger if on a going day under Sean Bowen, while Wild Nephin was a winner when last seen over hurdles and could resume progress back over the smaller obstacles now upped in trip.

- Chillhi11/4
- Wild Nephin22/1
