Nando Parrado colt who has displayed plenty of promise in maidens and shaped as though still in good form when third of 6 in maiden at Ayr (6f, good to soft) 21 days ago, paying the price late on having helped force the pace. Return to 5f shouldn't pose a problem and he could be the one to beat.
Cost 125,000 gns as yearling but seems to be being brought along with handicaps in mind, for all he did step forward in form terms when fifth of 7 in maiden at Carlisle (5f, soft) 32 days ago.
Had improved from run to run prior to finishing below form sixth of 10 in novice at Redcar (6f, firm) 36 days ago, when not helped by the sharper test. Could improve having since been gelded since but drop back to 5f poses a slight question mark. Engaged 3.25 Thirsk Friday.
Ardad colt out of dam who won as a juvenile. Failed to progress from debut when third of 5 in novice at Ripon (5f, good to firm), though the runner-up has boosted the form subsequently. Faces a different test following a break and too soon to write off yet.
£75,000 breeze-up purchase who is speedily-bred but offered little more than on debut when eighth of 10 in maiden at Beverley (5f, good to firm, 20/1) 22 days ago. Improvement needed.
Dream Ahead filly who is going the right way in maidens, again running creditably when 14/1, third of 11 in novice at this course (6f, good to soft) 9 days ago, racing closer to pace than ideal. Has shaped well over 5f previously and should go well again.
Ghaiyyath filly. Dam unraced out of Fred Darling Stakes winner Dabyah. Very green on debut but put in some good work on debut when fifth of 11 in novice (66/1) at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in May. Entitled to do better if ready to roll after a break.
Foaled March 30. 3,500 gns foal, Sergei Prokofiev filly. Dam maiden (stayed 1½m) half-sister to useful winner up to 1m Get Knotted. Likely to be an outsider on racecourse debut.
£65,000 yearling, Mehmas filly out of a dam who won at 2 yrs, shaped better than the bare result on debut when seventh of 10 in maiden at Haydock (6f, good to firm) earlier this month, paying the price for a big move into contention (on wrong side of track). Could improve now tackling 5f.
Bred to be a speedy juvenile but looked badly in need of the experience when 28/1, last of 8 in maiden at Hamilton (5f, good to firm) on debut 31 days ago. Needs to leave that form well behind if she's to make more of an impact.
Foaled January 16. 10,000 gns foal, Time Test filly. Half-sister to useful winner up to 7f Diligent Resdev and 7f winner Nammos. Dam unraced out of useful 8.5f winner Absolute Crackers. Worth a market check on debut but likely to want further on breeding.

Forecasts
Pull The Rug (9/4), Chairmanfourtimes (5/2), Cloudbuster (7/2), Valor Spirit (13/2), Dabbling (12/1), Our Hero Matty (14/1), Resdev Time (22/1), Enjoy The Night (33/1), Whiskey Neat (40/1), Empress Olivia (100/1), Resdev Kisses (150/1)
CHAIRMANFOURTIMES sets the standard and shouldn't be hindered by the drop to the minimum trip. He can get off the mark at the fourth attempt, while Cloudbuster may prove the main danger having shaped well over 5f previously. Of the rest, Valor Spirit could be worth another chance to build on his debut promise following a break, while both Dabbling and Pull the Rug showed ability on their respective debuts and remain open to improvement.
