Hinted at some ability on debut in a bumper but has been well beaten on two subsequent starts, latest when pulled up on hurdles debut at Lingfield (2m, soft) in January. Previously worn tongue tie now refitted but has improvement to find on reappearance.
Much improved from his debut when runner-up in a 9-runner Worcester bumper last month, only narrowly denied in a sprint finish. That form has taken a few knocks but he's going the right way and could have more to offer now sent hurdling.
Makes some appeal on paper but was badly in need of the experience on debut when fourth of 8 in a Southwell novice (20.4f) last month, though the penny was dropping by the end. Ought to be sharper for that experience and looks one of the likelier winners here.
Imperial Monarch gelding. Half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Brendas Asking. Dam unraced half-sister to fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Boleyknowsbest. Has been disappointing as pointer, again pulled up last time (May 11). Plenty to find on Rules debut.
Runner-up in a point but has achieved nothing in a pair of 2½m maidens over hurdles. Drops markedly in trip but needs to improve significantly.
Hit the frame in a pair of bumpers and was running a big race on hurdles debut (without looking the most straightforward) when falling at the last at Worcester (2m) in May. Turned in a tame effort over the same C&D the following month but has a chance if bouncing back.
Built on promise of hurdling debut and showed improved form to get off the mark in a slowly-run 2½m Perth maiden hurdle earlier this month, having looked well suited by the longer distance. Remains open to improvement despite the step back in trip and has solid claims of following up.
Fair dual winner on Flat (stays 11f), unplaced on most recent start on the all-weather. In good hands for hurdle debut but looks to be the yard second-string.
Showed a bit more following 6 months off when sixth in a 12-runner novice over C&D 9 days ago, albeit she was never dangerous. One for handicaps over longer trips later on.
Poor form in bumpers. Showed a bit on hurdle debut over this C&D but well-held on latest start at this course over 2½m. Back down in trip but still has plenty on her plate.

Forecasts
Western Clouds (8/13), Final Straw (3/1), Soul Limbo (7/1), Drombeg Lad (11/1), Caelan (14/1), Nanny Daisy (33/1), Bertie The Rebel (40/1), Majestic Moment (50/1), Mayor Kingston (100/1), Miz Klimt (125/1)
WESTERN CLOUDS has made a promising start to life over hurdles and remains open to further progress. She's taken to follow up her recent Perth success over this shorter trip with Final Straw, who looked badly in need of the experience when fourth on hurdles debut, the main threat if making the anticipated improvement. Of the rest, Soul Limbo needs to put an underwhelming effort behind him but would have a chance on previous form.
