Successful from 2 lb higher at Doncaster (6f) last summer and consistent in defeat thereafter for Chris Dwyer. Hasn't yet fully fired in trio of starts for new yard though, seventh of 10 in handicap (9/1) at Redcar (6f, good to firm) 51 days ago. Still, not one to be writing off yet.

Still seeking first win, but he did go close in 2 handicaps on turf/AW during second half of last year. Off 6 months, may of needed run when last of 14 in handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 24 days ago and the return to this longer trip can see him in a better light.

Dual 7f winner who disappointed on final start for Dominic Ffrench Davis when last of 9 in handicap at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in January. However, fact he's gone well fresh an obvious plus ahead of this and he's lurking on a very dangerous mark back from 6 months off.

Resumed winning ways in 7-runner minor event at Brighton (7f) in June and remained in good form since, best effort of the campaign when second of 6 in handicap at Brighton (7f, good to firm) 16 days ago. Well worth considering from unchanged mark.

10/3
Unreliable individual who remains a maiden after 19 Flat runs but best efforts this year have come here, latterly when third over C&D in June. Not in same form when sixth of 13 in 1m handicap back here 6 days ago but return to 7f can see him in a better light.

Forecasts

Guiteau (11/10), Too Much Trevor (10/3), Bear To Dream (4/1), Sorontar (8/1), Kurimu (10/1)

Verdict

Claims can be made for most here but it could just be worth chancing the returning GUITEAU. He starts out for new connections potentially very well treated on the pick of last year's form and his record fresh is another positive ahead of this. Sorontar and Bear To Dream may well provide chief resistance.
