Fairly useful staying handicapper on Flat for Michael Appleby who has made a smooth transition to hurdling, winning a Market Rasen maiden before following up in Fakenham novice. Sweated up ahead of handicap debut at Uttoxeter 2 weeks ago but still worthy of consideration from same mark.

Unbeaten in 3 starts over C&D, back to winning ways in an admittedly thin contest here 10 days ago. Up 4 lb to career high mark but has to remain of significant interest.

Smart sort at his best but is now a long time without a win. Long way behind Max of Stars in handicap hurdle at this C&D (good) 10 days ago and no reason to see him turning the tables.
