Losing run stretches back to 2022 but mark reflects that and he made more impact than for a while when runner-up over this trip on the Rowley Mile Course in May. Never figured following a slow start at Chester latest but not entirely dismissed back up in trip with Murphy booked.

Has done really well since joining present yard last winter and took his form up a notch with an impressive success at Epsom (1m4f) in April. Respectable fourth next time and didn't convince at the trip tackling 2m for first time in Northumberland Plate 14 days ago. This more suitable.
Returned from 6 months off at the top of his game when landing 14-runner York handicap (11.8f) in May. Excuses at Epsom next time and this rates less demanding than last week's assignment when ninth in the Old Newton Cup at Haydock.
Useful stayer on the Flat in Germany who had one standout effort to his name over hurdles for David Bridgwater. Off 10 months/easy to back, finished well held starting out for new yard when ninth of 10 in handicap at Chelmsford (2m) 11 days ago. Looks best watched.
Successful twice at up to 11f last year (including here) and returned in good heart, deserving of extra credit when fourth at Hamilton (11f) on penultimate start. Went without usual hood (refitted here) when eighth in big-field York handicap (10.2f) 2 weeks ago and better anticipated here.
4-y-o who justified good support back down in grade when successful in 11-runner handicap at Yarmouth (10.1f) in May. Found himself poorly placed when fourth at Sandown (10f) since but whether he quite wants this far is open to question. Engaged 3.55 York Friday.
Off bridle a fair way out but responded well to pressure in a switch of headgear when opening his account in 6-runner C&D handicap 3 weeks ago. Just the type his yard will eke more out of and he's one to consider as the sole 3-y-o in this line up.

ATLANTIC SUNSET found some progress and responded well to pressure when getting off the mark in a 6-runner C&D handicap 3 weeks ago and, appealing as the type who could go on improving in staying handicaps, he looks a live player in receipt of chunks of weight all round from his elders. Whathappensinvegas and Asgard's Captain may emerge as the chief threats in the finale.
