CARTHUSIAN and Lombardi Trophy are both open to improvement and can fight out the finish, for all that Game Point sets the standard and won't go down without a fight if taking to this surface. Carthusian's debut second to Scandinavia looks all the better in light of that colt's impressive Group 3 success at Newmarket on Thursday and, though not so good at upped to 12.8f at Leopardstown next time, he is given another chance to build on that promise back down in trip here.
