Dual winner at 2 yrs who has worked his way back to form and was arguably unlucky not to collect trying 1m for the first time when second in 4-runner affair at Yarmouth (1m) a fortnight ago. This is a deeper race but remains unexposed at the trip.
Gelded/off 9 months before taking a step forward to land 10-runner novice at Catterick (7f, good to firm) in May. Sent off a huge price and well beaten on handicap debut at this venue since, however.
Yet to get his head in front but placed on 6 of his 7 starts this season, including when third of 9 in 7f handicap at Newmarket (good) 21 days ago. Ought to go well again.
Made the most of a lenient handicap mark when landing 10-runner handicap at Hamilton (8.3f, good) in June with something to spare. Run best excused (not ideally placed/met trouble) at Doncaster since and remains of interest.
Is steadily improving and got off the mark in 11-runner handicap at Kempton (7f, 5/4) 16 days ago, despite doing plenty wrong under pressure. Open to further improvement.
Showed more than previously when sixth of 14 in handicap at Newcastle (8f) 14 days ago. Should remain competitive.
Yet to build on an encouraging debut at Ripon last August but was left poorly placed at Thirsk on his reappearance and remains open to improvement now venturing into a handicap.
Built on encouraging reappearance effort when opening his account in a Windsor handicap (1m, good) in May. Never involved from a difficult draw at Chester subsequently, so better judged on previous form.
Made it 2 wins from as many start for current yard in 9-runner handicap at Ripon (8f, good to firm) 37 days ago, travelling well and quickening clear final 1f. Much respected in hat-trick bid.
Fair maiden who shaped better than the bare result when fifth of 11 in handicap at Gowran (7f, good to soft) 26 days ago, finishing with running left having met plenty of trouble. Worth another chance.
Improved for the step up to a mile when off the mark in 6-runner handicap at Ripon (good to firm, 10/3) in June. Ran at least as well when second at Beverley (8.4f) last week but this is a stronger race. Cheekpieces back on.

Forecasts
Mahra's Love (9/4), Zarathos (7/2), Obito (6/1), Barry's Boy (13/2), Spirit Of Leros (12/1), Withoutfurtherado (14/1), Off Spin (14/1), Precious Spartan (18/1), Jamaican Storm (18/1), Far Ahead (25/1), Perfidia (33/1)
MAHRA'S LOVE looked far from the finished article when opening her account at Kempton 16 days ago, so with further improvement a strong possibility, a 4 lb rise in the weights doesn't look enough to prevent the follow up. Obito can have his latest effort easily overlooked on account of meeting trouble and a poor position, so remains with potential, while hat-trick seeker Precious Spartan is another who warrants plenty of respect.
