Prince Of The Seas⁵⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: H Crouch| T: R M Beckett| OR: 94

16/1

Ended last campaign with Sandown maiden victory. Not disgraced in better company this term and warrants respect on handicap debut.

Form: 21-55

(6)

Way Of Stars¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-2| J: P J McDonald| T: A M Balding| OR: 87| D

7/1

Progressive in handicaps this season and didn't need to be at best when winning 7-runner maiden (5/6) at Goodwood (14f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Likely to give another good account.

Form: 43-3241

(1)

Ammes¹⁶

Age: 3| Weight: 9-1| J: Jason Hart| T: James Owen| OR: 86

10/1

Found improvement when winning a match at Chepstow (12f) in May and backed that up when very good sixth of 19 in handicap at Royal Ascot (12f, firm, 50/1) 16 days ago. Not out of things.

Form: 4-2316

(3)

Many Men²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Ryan Sexton| T: J R Boyle| OR: 85

9/2

Bagged third success in handicap company when scoring narrowly at Doncaster (14.5f, good to firm) 28 days ago by head from Novelista. 5 lb higher now but must enter calculations.

Form: 51-1531

(2)

Bonnie Moon¹⁰

Age: 3| Weight: 9-0| J: Keithen Kennedy⁽⁵⁾| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR: 85

16/1

Off the mark in maiden at Dieppe last month and far from disgraced when fifth of 9 in Blue Wind Stakes at Naas (10.4f, good) 10 days ago, having to pick way through. Goes handicapping now and open mark could have been kinder.

Form: 3615

(8)

Last Galileo¹⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Pierre-Louis Jamin| T: K R Burke| OR: 82| BF

16/1

Ended last term with victory at Ayr and acquitted himself well in handicaps this season. Tries longer trip now but others look more progressive.

Form: 21-6525

(4)

Pole Star²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 8-11| J: Connor Beasley| T: C Johnston| OR: 82| C

9/1

Off the mark in maiden at this course in May and posted good 4½ lengths sixth of 10 to Many Men on handicap debut at Doncaster (14.5f, good to firm) since. Should have more to offer yet.

Form: 4216

(9)

Valiancy²⁴

Age: 3| Weight: 8-9| J: Harry Davies| T: W J Haggas| OR: 80

9/4

Took advantage of a good opportunity when opening account at Hamilton (11.1f, good to firm) 24 days ago. Upped in trip for handicap debut and remains open to improvement.

Form: 721

(5)

Novelista²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 8-7| J: A Mullen| T: C Johnston| OR: 78

10/1

Improved for a step up in trip when close second of 10 to Many Men in 14.5f Doncaster handicap (good to firm) 28 days ago. 4 lb higher now but we may not have seen the best of him yet.

Form: 323-62

(7)

Deep Water Bay⁴^{(ex 6)}

Age: 3| Weight: 8-2| J: L Morris| T: Sir Mark Prescott| OR: 67| BF

9/1

Posted career best when resuming winning ways in 8-runner handicap at Chelmsford City (13.3f) 4 days ago. Carries 6 lb penalty for that victory but looks a likely player nonetheless.

Form: 800121

Forecasts

Valiancy (9/4), Many Men (9/2), Way Of Stars (7/1), Pole Star (9/1), Deep Water Bay (9/1), Novelista (10/1), Ammes (10/1), Bonnie Moon (16/1), Last Galileo (16/1), Prince Of The Seas (16/1)

Preference is for VALIANCY, who has few miles on the clock and goes handicapping off a fair mark. Deep Water Bay and Many Men head the list of dangers in a contest where plenty hold claims.
