Much improved when landing AW maiden over this trip at Lingfield on return. Has struggled upped markedly in class subsequently, down the field in the Derby at Epsom (12f) on latest start 25 days ago. However, switch to handicaps now can see him in a much better light.

Oasis Dream colt who is really finding his feet now, again finding plenty for pressure when landing a second successive Chester handicap (10.3f) last month, fending off a next-time-out winner in the process. Step up to 1½m promises to hold no fears and shortlisted in hat-trick bid.

Off the mark on handicap debut at Redcar (10f) in May. and ran at least as well despite barely seeming to stay the longer trip when third over C&D next time. Finished 4¾ lengths fourth of 7 behind re-opposing Topteam at Chester (10.3f) latest but meets that rival on 8 lb better terms here.

Still a maiden but he again ran creditably when fourth of 9 in handicap at Sandown (10f, good) 19 days ago, nearest finish. That not the first time he's left the impression this increase in trip will suit and feasible to think he may yet have more to offer for his powerful yard.

Forecasts

Topteam (13/8), Sir William (9/4), Rogue Impact (10/3), Raulin (6/1)

Verdict

TOPTEAM took his form up another notch when fending off a next-time-out winner at Chester (10.3f) 3 weeks ago and a further 6 lb rise shouldn't prevent a bold bid to land the hat-trick now his stamina is tested further. Sir William has been shaping as though worth a try at this longer trip and is the danger, ahead of Rogue Impact, who ought to find this switch to handicaps much more to his liking.
