Has won a trio of races on the AW, the latest at Newcastle (7f) in February. However, he does need to dispel a lesser effort back on turf when eleventh of 15 in handicap (22/1) at Doncaster (7f, good) back in March.
Winner at Wolverhampton in January. 6/1, bit below form fifth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 17 days ago. Best form to date has come on all-weather but it remains early days with him and from a sliding mark, he merits consideration.
Yet to add to his Southwell novice success back in December 2023 but he began the present campaign in good heart, runner-up in handicaps at Catterick/Leicester. Proved too free when down the field in a higher grade at York (7f) 3 weeks ago and this rates more suitable.
C&D winner. Seventeen runs since last win in 2022. 12/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at Ripon (1m, good to firm) 28 days ago. Something to prove at present.
Recorded a third career success on penultimate start at Redcar in May and comes here having not been seen to best effect when ninth of 11 in handicap at Wetherby (8f, good to firm, 14/1) 13 days ago. Present mark demands that little bit more nevertheless.
Thirteen runs since last win in 2024. 5/1, eighth of 10 in handicap at Doncaster (7f, good to firm) 17 days ago. Handicapper is steadily easing his grip and he's not one to be writing off in this company.
Nineteen runs since last win in 2023. Creditable fourth of 11 in handicap (20/1) at Wetherby (7f, good to firm) 30 days ago. No reason why she won't give another good account.
Veteran. C&D winner who got back on the scoresheet at Southwell (7f) in November and held form well in defeat on all-weather thereafter. Absent 5 months ahead of this, so likely the market can prove a useful guide.
Last success came in a division of this race (from 8 lb higher) 12 months ago and comes here having found his form of late, good fourth of 9 in handicap at Beverley (7.4f, good to firm) 15 days ago. Should give it another good go on the front end from inside berth.

Forecasts
Leap Day (7/2), Twilight Diamond (7/2), Emily Post (5/1), Carnival Zain (5/1), Patontheback (13/2), Electric Avenue (11/1), Mereside Madness (14/1), Reputation (18/1), Langholm (22/1)
The pick of TWILIGHT DIAMOND's form has come on all-weather, yet David O'Meara's charge is easily one of the least exposed in this field and, having not been disgraced at Doncaster last time, he could be worth siding with operating from a career-low mark. Patontheback and Emily Post are others to consider, as is Leap Day who drops back down in class.
- Patontheback13/2
- Emily Post5/1
