Modest and disappointing maiden on the Flat for William Haggas. 50/1, weakening when fell 2 out on Fontwell hurdle debut in December (only run for Gary Brown). Best watched unless the betting hints otherwise.

2/1

Modest form in bumpers and performed to a similar level when third of 6 on 18.5f course hurdle debut a fortnight ago, losing second late on. The drop back to 2m may help.

Form: 6-43

Chips And Rice¹⁹

Age: 6| Weight: 10-11| J: C Gethings| T: R Stephens

28/1

Fair Flat winner for James Fanshawe but didn't offer any immediate encouragement over hurdles for new connections when eighth of 11 at Worcester 19 days ago.

Forecasts

T Or Coffey (13/8), Whatyouwaitingfor (2/1), Squire Danagher (11/4), Dynamite Defense (6/1), Candle Wax (7/1), Sharing Is Caring (12/1), Chips And Rice (28/1), Friars Island Lady (28/1), Mamdoh (28/1), Lewis Barnes (200/1)

SQUIRE DANAGHER hasn't been foot perfect in the jumping department so far but his latest Worcester second suggests he should still have a race like this in him. Jennie Candlish Irish recruit T Or Coffey is second choice ahead of Whatyouwaitingfor.
