6-time winner over hurdles and although well below form on previous two outings in that sphere, bounced right back to form when runner-up here on second chase start. Should be competitive if in the same form back over hurdles and his chances will be bolstered by any rain that falls.
Gained a first success since the 2023 Betfair Hurdle when landing a useful 2m Ascot handicap in November. Had lost form prior to finishing third in Sussex Champion Chase at Plumpton and isn't best judged on most recent hurdles run over 2½m. Should go well back at 2m but wouldn't want too much rain.
Winner of the last two renewals of this race (only 1 lb lower when victorious in cheekpieces last year) and has likely been campaigned with this race in mind, not knocked about on his most recent start at Ballinrobe last month. Should make a bold bid to defend his crown with headgear refitted.
Fairly useful on the Flat and has matched that form over hurdles, shaping with promise when third in a Killarney handicap last month prior to travelling strongly when runner-up behind a useful ex-Flat horse in a Ballinrobe maiden (16.2f) 33 days ago. Respected back in a handicap for top yard.
Fairly useful bumper winner who quickly reached a similar level in novice hurdles, displaying a good attitude to win twice in the 2023/2024 season. Only made the track twice last season, most recently finishing tailed off when lame at Fontwell in November. Claims if back to something like his best.
Racked up a hat-trick in maiden/novice hurdles at Uttoxeter last year and arrives better than ever following a quickfire double at Hexham/Uttoxeter last month prior to nearly burning of all her rivals when third in a higher grade at Hexham last time. Should be suited by this tight track. Respected.
Bumped into a less exposed one when runner-up in a Hexham handicap hurdle earlier this month and resumed winning ways back over fences when landing a 4-runner chase at the same track 7 days ago, always holding on in first time blinkers. Should give a good account if in a similar mood back hurdling.
Best hurdle run for current connections came at this track when a close third over 22f last July though he's more effective over shorter trips, his stamina running dry in a 5-runner chase over a similar trip here last month. On a handy mark and could run well in first time cheekpieces.
Fourth in the Swinton for Dan Skelton a couple of seasons ago and while still retaining ability, he found the pace too hot when eighth in this season's renewal. Never involved in a Compiegne hurdle last time and though 2 lb out of the handicap, may do better in first-time cheekpieces.

Fiveonefive (3/1), D Day Arvalenreeva (3/1), Miss Maverick (4/1), Mighty Tom (5/1), Lunar Sovereign (6/1), Aucunrisque (6/1), Come On The Lads (7/1), Glory And Honour (15/2), Goodwin (12/1), Horn Cape (18/1), Hurricane Ali (22/1)
The winner of the previous two renewals, FIVEONEFIVE looks to have been campaigned with this race in mind once again and with cheekpieces refitted, he can complete the hat-trick. The progressive D Day Arvalenreeva was impressive when readily landing a hat-trick over C&D last month, that form is working out and she's feared most ahead of Come on the Lads representing the powerful Gavin Cromwell yard. Hurricane Ali deserves an honourable mention from his falling handicap mark.
