Havana Grey Standing At Whitsbury Manor Handicap

Twice a winner in 6/7f handicaps during a productive 3-y-o campaign for Charlie Fellowes. Acquired by present connections for 90,000 gns after and confirmed previous promise this season when deservedly landing 16-runner handicap at Haydock 4 weeks ago. 5 lb rise won't a very bold follow-up bid.

Looked useful when making winning debut at Thirsk in April and he defied a penalty at Newbury last month. Both of those races were 7f but he travelled with plenty of zest and there should be more to come now handicapping.

Positive start last season, winning a 6f Newmarket handicap before finishing a good third in another over 7f at the same course. Successful on his reappearance this time round, too, and cast aside a lesser run at Newmarket (blew the start) when second in a big-field handicap at York.

Pretty useful at 2 but predictably struggled on reappearance pitched into listed company last month and his opening mark looks too high.

C&D maiden winner last spring. Failed to meet market expectations on reappearance but much more like it when second of 9 in handicap at this course (7f, good to firm, 6/1) 10 days ago.
