Put his best foot forward when landing the 7f Bunbury Cup at the big meeting here last summer. However, he ended that campaign on a downer and looks vulnerable back up to a mile following a 9-month break.
Successful over this C&D off a 2 lb higher mark last July and added to his tally on the AW during the winter. Has remained in good form since and should make his presence felt once again.
Dual AW winner last summer, but you have to go back to April 2021 for when he last got his head in front on turf. Opposable starting out for new yard here.
Bagged 1¼m handicaps at Yarmouth and on the Rowley Mile last spring, before finishing second in this race 12 months ago. 2 lb lower this time round and, having performed with credit all 3 starts this season, he's one to consider.
Belied market weakness and confirmed stable debut promise when winning a 9-runner Yarmouth handicap (1m, good to firm) at the beginning of last month. Better than ever when following up on the AW next time, but this is tougher up 4 lb.
Took form to another level when making winning handicap debut on the Rowley Mile in April. Subsequently fared best of those ridden prominently when fourth in a valuable Haydock contest (8.2f, good to firm) and he's a huge player in a first-time hood here.
Back to winning ways at Wolverhampton (7.2f) in January and followed that with a couple of solid efforts in defeat. Didn't get the rub of the green behind Mr Swivell at Chelmsford last time and couldn't rule out back here (2-2 on the July course).
AW maiden winner last year and, though yet to strike on turf, he produced his best effort yet when second to Teroomm in the valuable Silver Bowl at Haydock last month, finishing a couple of places in advance of King Casper. Up 4 lb but each-way chance nonetheless.
Debut winner at Southwell in January and has progressed switched to turf the last twice, splitting a couple of fellow improvers on the other course here in April before regaining the winning thread at Goodwood (1m, good to firm). Remains open to improvement.
Came good at third time of asking in 1¼m Newbury maiden last month and still looked a bit raw when creditable sixth of 9 in Epsom handicap next time. It could be that he will raise his game now dropped to this trip.

Forecasts
Cavolo Nero (3/1), King Casper (4/1), Mythical Guest (4/1), Tilted Kilt (13/2), Mr Swivell (7/1), Sterling Knight (17/2), Where's Freddy (16/1), Meblesh (16/1), Aalto (22/1), Longlai (50/1)
CAVOLO NERO has improved with each of his four starts to date and, with no reason to believe that he won't continue to progress, James Ferguson's charge is taken to follow-up last month's Goodwood success. Next on the list is King Casper, who fared best of those ridden up with the pace when fourth in the Silver Bowl at Haydock and is taken to reverse placings with the runner-up there, Tilted Kilt. The latter will, however, be second choice if King Casper goes to post at Royal Ascot on Thursday.
