Two wins from 6 runs this year, the latest at Lingfield in May. Good second of 6 in handicap at the same course (10f, heavy) 11 days ago, clear of rest. Back up in trip and versatile ground-wise, he has to enter calculations.
Fifteen runs since last win in 2023. Bit below form fifth of 10 in handicap at Redcar (10f, good to firm, 50/1) 23 days ago. Back up in trip and he has to be taken seriously back in 0-80 company.
C&D winner in May. 33/1, only tenth of 14 in handicap at Epsom (12f, good to soft) 11 days ago, though, and others make more appeal.
6/1, creditable second of 8 in handicap at Hamilton (13.1f, good) 13 days ago and a bold show is on the cards nudged up just 1 lb for that near-miss.
Three wins from 9 runs this year, the latest at Southwell in February. 5/1, third of 5 in handicap at Chelmsford City (13.3f) 13 days ago. Vulnerable from a win point of view.
28/1, good fifth of 9 in handicap hurdle at Kelso (18.1f, good) 24 days ago. Down in trip and while his latest performance in this sphere was respectable, one or two of these are more appealing all the same.
Lightly-raced winner. 4/1, tenth of 11 in handicap at Yarmouth (10.1f, good to soft) 20 days ago. Well worth another chance in view of previous promise.

Forecasts
Something (5/2), Lord Protector (4/1), Odin Legacy (9/2), Sax Appeal (5/1), Haptics (11/2), Sir Edward Lear (13/2), Clan Chieftain (66/1)
LORD PROTECTOR made a positive start to the season when twice placed off higher marks than this during the spring, and he is appealing back down in class having contested high-grade handicaps on his last two appearances. Haptics went down narrowly at Hamilton recently and is feared most ahead of the lightly-raced Sir Edward Lear and topweight Odin Legacy.
- Haptics11/2
- Sir Edward Lear13/2
