Very progressive on AW but struggled back on turf at Haydock (1½m) last month. Might be best to look elsewhere kept to the grass.

Heavy-ground winner over this trip for Richard Hannon who made it fourth time lucky for his present yard when registering a cosy success at Newcastle (12.5f) 27 days ago. 7 lb rise for that looks fair and he's very much one to consider back on turf.
Three wins in a solid 3-y-o campaign. Ended that campaign with a respectable mid-field finish in the November Handicap at Doncaster. In good hands and no surprise were he to improve again this season.
Hasn't looked back since stepped up to 1½m+, making it 3 wins in last 4 starts when seeing off 12 rivals over C&D 18 days ago. Raised another 5 lb but further progress can't be discounted.
Best run for new yard when close third of 10 in handicap at Chester (1½m, good) 15 days ago. Player if showing up here in a similar mood.
Made all on 1¾m Thirsk reappearance and just as good when ¾-length second of 13 to King's Scholar over C&D (good) 18 days ago. Has to enter calculations.
Landed a £100,000 bonus for winning 3 times in this series last year but has been held back by slow starts so far this season. Back on a winning mark but comes with risks at present.
C&D winner. Eleven runs since last win in 2023. 16/1, 12 lengths ninth of 13 to King's Scholar over C&D (good) 18 days ago. First-time blinkers need to have a positive effect.
Three-time C&D winner but not at best so far this season, including 10 lengths seventh of 13 to King's Scholar over C&D (good) 18 days ago. Falling in the weights but need to see more.
Latest win at Doncaster in March. 4/1, creditable third of 6 in handicap at Goodwood (1½m, good) 9 days ago. Blinkers back on. Respected with Warren Fentiman taking a handy 5 lb off.
Lightly-raced maiden. Respectable 9 lengths sixth of 13 to King's Scholar over C&D (good) 18 days ago. Cheekpieces back on. Remains unexposed.

King's Scholar (2/1), Sam Hawkens (3/1), Savrola (6/1), Minstrel Knight (13/2), Steel Tiger (9/1), La Pulga (16/1), Per Contra (18/1), Letsbefrank (22/1), Destinado (25/1), Forza Orta (25/1), Alnayef (33/1), Tafsir (50/1)
SAM HAWKENS won a competitive race at Newcastle and even a 7 lb rise may not stop him now he's found his feet for William Haggas. Thriving last-time-out C&D winner King's Scholar rates an obvious danger, while Per Contra is also shortlisted on the back of a good run at Chester a fortnight ago.
