Bounced back to his best to get off the mark over hurdles over C&D early last month and ran at least as well in defeat when runner-up in a 6-runner handicap at Fontwell (17.7f) 18 days ago, only headed final 50 yards. Should be in the mix again.
Two wins last season for Philip Rothwell. Easy to back on debut for James Owen when 1¾ lengths behind Turpin Gold at Plumpton (15.9f). Much stronger in the betting when third behind the same rival at Huntingdon (15.8f) 17 days ago. Headgear now removed but may yet do better for bang in-form yard.
Landed a gamble over hurdles at Sedgefield (16.8f) last season and not disgraced from higher marks subsequently. Shaped with promise returned to Sedgefield on chase debut but took a step back when well beaten at Stratford next time. Cheekpieces need to spark a revival back over hurdles.
Poor form in maiden/novice hurdles and fared little better over 19f on handicap debut at Warwick 8 days ago. Drops in trip and will need to find improvement for the addition of tongue tie/cheekpieces.
Placed 3 times in handicap company for Keiran Burke last season but has offered little in two starts since leaving that yard for £1,000. Visor replaces blinkers and has plenty to prove.
Longstanding maiden isn't straightforward but caught the eye when a well backed runner-up on chase debut at Naas last season, having set a fierce gallop. Below form on final two starts for Tom Dreaper but no surprise to see him bounce back on debut for excellent yard. One to note in the market.
Out of sorts over the winter, never looking like capitalising on his falling handicap mark. Fared no better following 3 months off when last over C&D 20 days ago. Leap of faith required.
C&D winner for Adam West in 2023 but yet to make an impact in this sphere for current connections. Has shaped better back on the Flat, winning at Lingfield in January and not disgraced at Windsor on latest outing. Feasibly treated if back on song over hurdles.
From a good family and offered something to work with on debut at Stratford (16.3f) last year but failed to build on that, faring no better on handicap debut over a markedly longer trip at Fakenham (23.4f) in December. Back down in trip following a break. Worth a market check on only his 5th start.
3-time hurdle winner but on a losing run that stretches back to March 2023. Unable to justify support on last hurdles start, third over C&D on ground that was likely too testing (heavy) prior to running no sort of race on chase debut in December. On a fair mark despite racing from out of handicap.

Papa Barns (13/8), Prince Quattro (2/1), Katana (11/4), Dirty Den (13/2), Well Vicky (7/1), Cawthorne Cracker (14/1), Baikal (16/1), Cawthorne Banker (20/1), Ghost Pepper (40/1), Penna Rossa (40/1), Rockbeare (100/1)
Although not straightforward, PAPA BARNS showed enough in Ireland to suggest he can make an impact at this level, and he's taken to make a winning debut for the excellent Olly Murphy yard. Prince Quattro hasn't been with the James Owen team for long and has to be respected for a yard among the winners, while Well Vicky could be lurking on a dangerous mark if firing on all cylinders following 6 months off.
