It's now fourteen runs since last win in 2024 but he's been holding his form well since the turn of the year, respectable fourth of 9 in handicap at Doncaster (6f, good to firm, 15/8) 5 days ago. Not taken lightly.
Multiple 5f winner who stepped up on his comeback run from sliding mark when second at Hamilton (5f) in May (winner that day gone in twice since). Went off too hard when fading into fourth at Pontefract (5f) on Monday and no surprise to see a better showing.
3-time winner in 5f handicaps for Darryll Holland in 2024 who was well held on return/sole start for Jim & Suzi Best at Wolverhampton (5.1f) in March. Resumes for another new yard just 1 lb above last winning mark and he's not discounted. with usual tongue strap refitted.
Showed promise when 2nd of 7 in a novice race at Ripon last summer over this trip. Matched that form after 8 months off when creditable fifth of 10 in handicap at Redcar (5f, good to firm) 42 days ago and she could yet have more to offer on the back of just 5 career starts.
Mark has steadily eased this spring and, having been well supported, wasted no time getting back on track when second of 12 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good, 9/4) 15 days ago. Nudged up 2 lb on the back of that but a repeat gives her sound claims again.
Has her quirks but that didn't stop her winning 3 times last season (twice over C&D) and she ran well returning from 4 months off when second of 10 in handicap at this C&D (good) 23 days ago, running on. Remains on a workable mark following a 2 lb rise and she's another in the mix.
Free Eagle filly who improved a little on her debut run when sixth in 10-runner novice at Catterick (7f) in April. Down the field on qualifying run (drawn wide) at Chester (7f) 12 days ago but this switch to handicaps can see her in a better light.
5f maiden winner for John Ryan last season but yet to match that for present yard, off 5 months prior to finishing ninth of 12 in handicap at Beverley (5f, good) 15 days ago.

Papa Don't Preach (13/8), Mrs Trump (10/3), Snow Berry (4/1), Refuge (9/2), Kyber Crystal (6/1), Doralee (12/1), Soldiers Design (22/1), Bernard Spierpoint (40/1), Free Pic (40/1)
This looks likely to be run at a brisk pace and with that in mind it may pay to side with Paul Midgley's MRS TRUMP. She quickly returned to form when second at Beverley 2 weeks ago and she remains competitively handicapped having been nudged up 2 lb on the back of that. Similar comments apply to dual C&D winner Snow Berry and she's feared. Refuge and Papa Don't Preach can also feature.
