Debut winner last term who failed to progress in handicaps during second half of the campaign. Still, he's entitled to come on for his Catterick reappearance fourth over the minimum trip 12 days ago and the step back up to 6f looks sure to suit.
C&D winner but it's now sixteen runs since last win in 2023 and he's yet to fire for current connections, last of 7 in handicap at Catterick (6f, good) 18 days ago. Mark continues to ease at least if things do click again.
It's now eleven runs since last win in 2024 but he comes here having turned in his best effort of the season when third of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (5.8f, soft, 3/1) 13 days ago, never nearer. Fallen to an attractive mark if he can build on that here.
C&D winner. Cheekpieces on for 1st time, seventh of 12 in handicap (6/1) at this C&D (good) 6 days ago, headway when not clear run 1f out. Blinkers now the headgear of choice and he's another who shouldn't be written off with his rider off-setting a handy 5 lb.
Yet to get his head in front for present yard but he ran his best race for a while when runner-up behind a thriving sort in 9-runner handicap at Ayr (6f) 21 days ago. Up 3 lb but respected with a repeat.
6-time C&D winner. 8/1, ran most encouraging race for some time when good fourth of 12 in handicap at this C&D (good) 6 days ago. Down to a handy mark and she's one to be interested in again.
C&D winner. 7/2, very good second of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (6.9f, good to soft) 12 days ago, conceding first run. Good chance.

Forecasts
Iris Dancer (9/4), Flowstate (10/3), The Gay Blade (4/1), Belsito (5/1), Havana Rum (13/2), Travis (17/2), Moyola (10/1), Vince Lombardi (11/1)
Fit from a good effort on all-weather, THE GAY BLADE turned in his best effort of the year and looked unlucky not to finish even closer when second at Carlisle 12 days ago. He's ready to strike on that evidence and earns the vote over 6-time C&D winner Iris Dancer who ran better than for a while when fourth here last week. Flowstate back at 6f and Havana Rum are others to consider.
