Fair form in bumpers and third in 2m Southwell maiden hurdle in February. Not built on that in 2 subsequent runs but entitled to be sharper for his handicap debut sixth at Ffos Las (15.8f) 5 weeks ago. Eased 2 lb ahead of this and certainly not one to be writing off yet.

Maiden in Ireland for Barry Connell but thrived on the level for these connections, winning 3 times and won't be long in repeating the feat in this sphere judged on last week's narrow defeat at Market Rasen (16.6f). Lots to like operating from same mark.

Down the field in novice/maiden hurdles during 2023/24. However, shaped with encouragement making handicap debut/after 8 months off when fifth in 9-runner contest at Leicester (15.5f) in December. Absent again ahead of this and he now starts out for another new stable. Market can guide.

Second in novice hurdle at Ffos Las in June 2022 but has made little impact since, pulled up at Ffos Las (23.9f, heavy) when last seen in February. Returns with his yard amongst the winners at least so interesting if the market spoke in his favour.

Poor maiden hurdler who was fit from a run on the Flat but was never better than midfield when seventh of 11 in handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot (18.5f, good) 13 days ago. Others more persuasive.

Down the field in bumpers but did at least get closer than previously in this sphere when sixth of 11 in a C&D novices' handicap 5 weeks ago. Cheekpieces/tongue tie now reached for but she'll need to pull out more if she's to come out on top here.

Forecasts

Market House (11/10), Justice Roll (3/1), Berkshire Lad (10/3), Meraki Mist (4/1), Banny Hill Lass (11/1), Marley Head (12/1), Of Corse I Can (14/1)

Verdict

A 3-time winner on the Flat for present connections, MARKET HOUSE highlighted his turn in this sphere is imminent when just touched off at Market Rasen 8 days ago and he comfortably rates the most solid option from the same mark now partnered by Sean Bowen. Justice Roll, now handicapping/back from a break, could well emerge as the chief danger representing Gary & Josh Moore.
