7/4

Made it 3 wins in 5 starts when seeing off 3 rivals over 26.5f here last month, taking her form figures at Perth to 131. A 4 lb rise seems unlikely to prevent her making another bold bid.

True Destiny^b¹⁶

Age: 10| Weight: 11-12| J: Mr O McGill⁽⁵⁾| T: N C Kelly| OR: 98

9/4

No win since 2023 but has recorded 3 creditable in-frame efforts this spring, the latest when third at Downpatrick in first-time blinkers (retained). A respected Irish raider.

Form: 2264-43

Maillot Blanc²⁵

Age: 8| Weight: 11-6| J: Bruce Lynn| T: N W Alexander| OR: 92

8/1

It's now 14 runs since his last win in 2023. Has performed respectably here this spring but suspicion is the wait for the next win will go on a bit longer.

Form: 75546-5

Our Girl Sal³²

Age: 7| Weight: 11-5| J: Ryan Mania| T: Paul Robson| OR: 91| D

11/2

Gained a first success under Rules when getting up in the dying strides at Kelso last month. That was only her second start for Paul Robson and she's unexposed as a stayer so it wouldn't be a surprise were she to have more to offer.

Form: F2315-1

Malangen²⁵

Age: 10| Weight: 11-1| J: Peter Kavanagh⁽³⁾| T: Miss L Harrison| OR: 87| C

17/2

Four-time course scorer whose latest success came at Hexham (2m, good) last June. Made a respectable return from a break when fifth over 2½m here last month but stamina a big worry back at 3m.

Form: 37260-5

Somebody's Fortune^b1,t⁶⁴

Age: 7| Weight: 10-10| J: Alan Doyle⁽⁵⁾| T: Miss Lucinda V Russell| OR: 82

18/1

Made a winning handicap hurdle debut at Kelso last May but not in anything like the same form on all 4 subsequent starts (including over fences). Blinkers replace usual visor now.

Form: 5/17P0P-

Bean Alainn¹⁹³

Age: 6| Weight: 10-7| J: Danny McMenamin| T: N G Richards| OR: 79

14/1

Didn't show anything in a trio of maiden/novice hurdles over 2m last autumn but given a break and could prove a totally different proposition now handicapping over a much longer trip.

Form: 5/00P-

Nae Bother At A'⁴⁷

Age: 7| Weight: 10-2| J: Dylan Johnston⁽³⁾| T: Gary Rutherford| OR: 74

28/1

Has shown little in bumpers/novice hurdles. Up significantly in trip for handicap debut. Worth a precautionary betting check.

Form: 868/P68-

Cloudsareclearing^p²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 10-2| J: Nathan Moscrop| T: R M Smith| OR: 72

80/1

Tailed off in a bumper and 4 hurdles. More realistic chance now handicapping at a basement level but can't make a case on form.

Form: 59P5-0

Forecasts

Happy Index (7/4), True Destiny (9/4), Our Girl Sal (11/2), Maillot Blanc (8/1), Malangen (17/2), Bean Alainn (14/1), Wearelongterm (14/1), Tartan Cookie (14/1), Somebody's Fortune (18/1), Nae Bother At A' (28/1), Cloudsareclearing (80/1)

HAPPY INDEX is the percentage call as she goes in search of a third course win but a strong market move for Nicky Richards handicap newcomer Bean Alainn would make her a possible big threat. Last month's Kelso scorer Our Girl Sal also makes the shortlist.
