5/1, won 12-runner handicap at Windsor (6f, good to firm) 9 days ago, well on top finish. Well on top at the finish there and, with similar conditions likely here, he should make a bold bid under a 4 lb penalty.

C&D winner in April. 7/2, seventh of 8 in handicap at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) 20 days ago, very slowly away. Can make presence felt if breaking on terms this time.
Twenty runs since last win in 2023. 10/1, ninth of 13 in handicap at Chelmsford City (7f) 47 days ago. Continues to edge down the weights but others make more appeal all the same.
Latest win at Southwell in December. Bit below form sixth of 11 in handicap (12/1) at Doncaster (5f, good to firm) 39 days ago. Back up in trip and likely to find a few too good once more.
Lightly-raced maiden. Last of 7 in handicap (33/1) at Chelmsford City (6f) 34 days ago. Opposable now switched to turf.
Winner at Leicester in April. 9/4, below form eighth of 13 in handicap at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Awkward start didn't aid his cause on that occasion and could be a factor with Jim Crowley booked if more sharp out of the gates here.
22/1, below form fifth of 10 in handicap at Redcar (6f, heavy) when last seen 7 months ago. Opposable back from a break here with conditions likely to be too lively.
Beaten 6 lengths when seventh of 10 to Thunderous Love in handicap (18/1) at this C&D (good) 36 days ago. Clearly has work to do.

Forecasts
Monsieur Patat (5/2), Waistcoat (7/2), Thunderous Love (9/2), Toptime (9/2), Call Glory (6/1), McCauley's Tavern (12/1), Instant Bond (28/1), Sounds Of Spring (40/1)
If in the same mood as when scoring at Windsor recently, MONSIEUR PATAT will prove very hard to beat in this lower-grade handicap with just a 4 lb penalty to shoulder. Thunderous Love's hat-trick bid was doomed seconds after the gates opened at Salisbury, but she will be a threat if getting away alertly this time. That remark also applies to Waistcoat, who was never on terms after an awkward jump at Thirsk.
