Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: Jason Hart| T: J & S Quinn| OR: 65| BF| D

6/1

Latest win at Thirsk on heavy ground in April but unable to match that form since, latest fifth of 13 in handicap at Ayr (7.2f, good). Could have a say on reappearance (has won fresh) if forecast rain materialises.

Original Thinker^p²⁶²

Age: 5| Weight: 9-5| J: J Fanning| T: H Bethell| OR: 61| D

11/1

Better than ever when successful at Beverley in May but below form on subsequent two starts, clearly not 100% when eleventh of 12 in handicap at Newcastle (7.1f) in September. Remains to be seen if she can bounce back following a break.

Form: 37/5180-

Golden Goose⁹⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-4| J: Connor Beasley| T: Miss T L Cogan| OR: 60| D

9/4

Left behind modest form on turf in Ireland when landing a gamble (after 8 months off) at Southwell (7.1f) in March, finding plenty for pressure. Given a short break and this looks a good opportunity to follow up.

Form: 9/8900-1

Naval Academy²⁰

Age: 5| Weight: 9-2| J: D C Costello| T: M Walford| OR: 58| D

11/4

Well backed but could only manage fifth of 10 in handicap at Leicester (7f, firm) 20 days ago, needing stiffer test. On a fair mark but may prove more effective back at a mile.

Form: 0798-65

(4)

Angel Of The Bay¹²⁷

Age: 4| Weight: 8-8| J: C Horgan⁽⁵⁾| T: T D Barron| OR: 50

12/1

Has creditable form in 7f handicaps including an unlucky fourth at Redcar in a higher grade than this last season. Disappointed in a change of headgear (removed) when finishing seventh of 8 in handicap at Southwell (7.1f, 6/1) in January but could be worth another chance following a break.

Forecasts

Golden Goose (9/4), Naval Academy (11/4), Blufferonthebus (10/3), Saisons D'Or (5/1), Highfield Viking (6/1), Braes Of Doune (7/1), Original Thinker (11/1), Angel Of The Bay (12/1), Bowman (14/1)

GOLDEN GOOSE left his previous form well behind when landing a gamble at Southwell in March and could still prove well-treated. He's taken to follow up at the expense of Highfield Viking, who has gone well fresh and won't be inconvenienced by any rainfall. Of the rest, Angel of The Bay has a chance on the best of his form from last season.
