(1)

Spinning Wheel³⁵

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Harry Davies| T: S & E Crisford

5/2

Postponed gelding who looked a useful prospect when making a winning debut in 10-runner Beverley novice (10f) 35 days ago, responding well to pressure to fend off a well-backed rival (the pair clear). Looks sure to progress and longer trip promises to hold no fears.

Caughtredhanded^v1¹³

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Tyler Heard| T: J & T Gosden

28/1

Cracksman colt who was noted doing good late work when fifth on debut in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket (1m) in April. Proved disappointing (soon off bridle) when last of 10 in maiden at Newbury (10f) 13 days ago and connections quickly reach for a visor. Not one to write off.

Form: 50

(2)

Marnier²²

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: R Havlin| T: J & T Gosden| BF

13/8

Saxon Warrior colt who produced an encouraging debut effort amid greenness when third in a Newbury novice (10f) in April. Didn't seem at home on the track (went in snatches) when 8 lengths fourth of 9 in maiden at Chester (10.3f) since but he's well worth another chance with stamina tested further.

Form: 34

(5)

Savvy Stellar²⁸

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: S Woods

125/1

Son of Oasis Dream who showed more than he had on sole outing as a juvenile when sixth of 11 in novice at Chelmsford City (10f) 28 days ago. Stamina now tested further but handicaps promise to be more his bag.

Form: 0-6

(3)

Sharp Move

Age: 3| Weight: 9-4| J: Tom Marquand| T: W J Haggas

6/4

Frankel colt. Dam, 2-y-o 6f winner, half-sister to smart winner up to 16.6f (stayed 2½m) Nate The Great. Newcomers from this yard always command respect and confidence behind him in the betting would look significant.

MARNIER seemed unsuited by the track (went in snatches) when fourth in a Chester maiden 3 weeks ago, yet his Newbury debut third was an effort containing distinct promise and he's worth another chance to build on that now his stamina is tested further. Spinning Wheel's debut victory at Beverley was an effort backed up by the clock and he's respected under a penalty. Newcomer Sharp Move is one to note in the market.
